Most likely, you need to use a water based lube. I don't have the Fleshlight, but the Tenga Flip Hole. I can almost promise you that you shouldn't use silicone lube on it. Those lubes are not ideal for toys like that, as they are hard to clean.
The Tenga has different buttons for different pressure on it. Not sure if the FL does. Take your time and experiment with the angle and speed. And enjoy!!!

The nice thing about it is the cap at the end: you can tighten it to create an airtight seal, or loosen it for, you know, less. Another nifty thing is that the insert can be turned totally inside-out for easy cleaning. Also, another poster mentioned the soft insert could be turned inside out for cleaning. I've always felt that it could be thoroughly cleaned as is, and I don't think that for me it would be worth the risk of tearing it.
