When Republican parties engineer a stolen election, it is New England that stands alone, against the tide. As one of the oldest children of our nation, we are in a position to know, better. All of the original atrocities occurred here.

A pure, clean, untouched wilderness that stood for 100,000 years. Arrogance destroyed much of it. The truth has emerged.

Now, a minion of Trump is telling the people of New England to no longer tell the truth. Ryan Zinke is a minion of Trump. Trump has the mistaken idea that stealing the office of POTUS entitles him to slice the United States into pieces that he can hand out to the 1%.

White House puts advisory panel for Cape preserve on hold

Why would Trump send a minion to silence the small group of people from tiny towns, that interact with the National Parks Service ? Is it because they have the power to say No to harm, destruction, and exploitation ?

Commissioners learned that they must halt their meetings during a Trump administration review

May 12, 2017

In an unprecedented move, the Trump administration has ordered the local commission that advises the Cape Cod National Seashore to suspend its meetings until further notice, the first such decree since the 40-mile preserve was founded in 1961.

The advisory commission was created at the same time as the Cape Cod National Seashore to mollify concerns about the federal government controlling some 44,000 acres of beaches and bogs that stretch from Chatham to Provincetown.

The commission is composed of representatives from the surrounding six towns, as well as the county, state, and the US Interior Department.

A volunteer board that advises the Cape Cod National Seashore superintendent learned Monday that its meetings are canceled until further notice as part of the transition to President Donald Trump’s administration.

The members of the commission, which meets several times a year at the Seashore headquarters, represent the six towns within the park boundaries, the county, the state and the Secretary of Interior.

Delaney, who lives in Orleans, said his appointment by Barack Obama’s administration runs into the fall, and that prior to that he has served for a number of governors on the advisory commission.

“The fact that the transition team is taking the time to reach down this far, to be concerned about an advisory commission, and maybe others, seems like they’re going to some extreme,” Delaney.

"There aren’t words that you can print that tell you what I think of the administration, and the way they are handling the nation’s resources,” said Provincetown representative Mary-Jo Avellar.

2017 Trump promises to remove restrictions and regulations

May 10, 2017

Ryan Zinke removes restrictions on mapping the nation's offshore oil and natural gas resources.

Wednesday's action by the Interior Department reverses a decision made by the Obama administration's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management "to deny the permit applications" for companies looking to conduct seismic surveys off the Atlantic coast, the agency said.

gsgs comment-

It has taken a great effort to clean the land and waters of pollution. New England has escaped the fate that other states suffer, when oil becomes the most powerful influence. As it is, small New England towns have fought off fracking, and the pipelines that want to find access to shipping. The East coast has energy needs, but we do not need to aid energy companies, in their efforts to sell Canada tar sands, or export American resources to other nations.

We do not want a Deepwater accident, that polluted the South. We are a very soggy state, and we do not want our fresh water poisoned by leaks caused by neglected access pipes or frakking chemicals.

This is not Texas. We do not have shorelines that can be trashed, and thrown away We do not trash neighborhoods, and throw people away. (One exception- Redevelopment, and gentrification. New York developers, and international clients have decided the 1% need an opportunity to invest their billions in a home that they will never use. New York City is running out of real estate to sell.) Big sister NYC is exporting her leeches. Who wants to buy a condo next to a harbor that reeks of Corexit and heavy fuel oil floods ?)
