I just read an eye-witness account of the BULL RUN Battle where the South pissed away an opportunity to capturer Lincoln and Washington, but didn't. There was nothing in their path, and they sat on their ass until opportunity went away. Jefferson Davis was there and did nothing.

Democrats are at the same place. Trump has the exact same problem Lincoln and Davis had.....cant make lieutenants do shit.

Maybe, but the Dems are moving so far away from the mainstream I doubt their ability to back anytime soon, They have communist sympathizing people at the top of their party who probably couldn't survive a security background check. But, that said, one cannot underestimate the Republican ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
