New Author

You certainly sound like the kind of person who will enjoy the site and make a positive contribution to it, once you have posted the pictures I mentioned earlier.

As somebody else said, ignore scouries. He is a fraud and a liar and will try to lead you astray, especially in the theme contests, which are fun to enter.

There is no panel of judges here, but new stories are checked over by the admin to watch for forbidden themes. The main one of these is sexual involvement by underage characters. You can write about Miley Cyrus now, but you can't write about Hannah Montana unless you tell everybody she has passed her eighteenth birthday.

The other major taboo is bestiality. You cannot write about sex between humans and animals, unless the latter are mythical, such as unicorns and werewolves, etc.

ETA: I have put that last prohibition in verse form:

byBoxlicker101©

We can't write of sex between humans and dogs,
Or humans with wombats, giraffes or with frogs.

But we can write plenty of cats fucking cats,
Or couplings of horses or kangaroo rats.

I never have done it for nobody cares
To read of the mating of Kodiak bears.

But if someone wanted to write about beasties
That went about breeding with different species.

Then Laurel and Manu would probably say
"You can write it but no one will read anyway."

Teehee, I do love the poem, seeing as I am not into bestiality or underaged rape/sex etc. I'm sure I will stay within the guidelines. As I have said I would give the pics if I could, buuuut I won't cuz I can't much love <3

And keep a sharp eye out for paradoxes. ;)

I'll try not to make any, such as an inhuman sized phallus that realistically could not exist seeing as an erection would knock the owner of said phallus unconscious, or any other paradoxes, thanks <3

Um . . . i'm not sure what your on about inhuman sized phalluses. My AV depicts a winter's day, wherein I am all smiles because the thermometer I'm holding in my left hand reads 52 degrees and the snow that's all around me will be melting soon.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is embracing a phallusey.

My point on the inhuman sized phallus comes from a story I read where a pretty much normal human male had one and without any special sort of superpower or being a giant or supernatural creature he was able to use it and the human body is simply not able to support an erect phallus of the size described, however your idea also works, honestly when I picture a paradox it is much like the one I mentioned

Be ever vigilant for run on sentences, too. ;)

And another friendly piece of advice, get an editor to look at your work once. Literotica has a very helpful volunteer editor program. You might consider using one for your first few stories.

For those of you who wanted to read any of my submissions, I have recently gotten one approved. If you go and look me up, look under the poetry. I have my first submission Water, and hopefully I should have my next poem accepted soon as well. So if you could read and comment with your input it would be greatly appreciated.

Evening and welcome.

It is always fun to get others opinions on what you write. Everyone has a point of view.

Do you mind sharing what you have? Woudl be fun to read.

add a link to your submissions page, maybe in your sig. It makes life so much easier for us lazy asses. ;)

I started writing recently, and this is what I found:

* Try hard with the description line when you submit. I got a difference of 10 to 1 on readership based, it would appear, on the difference between a story about "girls swimming topless" and a more mundane description.

* Views will tend to climb sharply on the first few days the story is approved as it appears in the "new" list, after that the (new) views taper off.

* The total view count will be roughly proportional to the popularity of the section.

* The score you get will stabilize after about 14 days, probably largely because the new view count decreases. After that time, the score you get will be what it stays at.

* I'm not sure if your view count will increase once you become known, and favourited by a few people, but I presume it would.

* Fellow authors in this forum section are pretty friendly and helpful. :)
