I'm planning to power my personal blog with WordPress + BuddyPress and bbPress installed as some of the plugins.

Wordpress is great-- I run a blogging network at http://mirthfulconfusion.com

But forfanfic writers, the social networks like livejournal, dreamwidth and lately tumblr-- great way to share that stuff.

I share my stuff at FanFiction.Net - great site and I've met lots of fellow authors there and read lots of great stories by my fellow writers - some are even Beta-Reading for me. Since I don't have a particular favorite pairing in Pokemon (but I do for Stargate - Jack and Sam always), I can get along with almost any writer who writes about Pokemon, as long as the story features (nearly all the time) a male Ash and Pikachu (can be male or female except in Pikashipping - then it has to be female) as I can't see Pokemon without those two.

My blog is on wordpress.com. But it isn't fanfic and definitely not erotic. Its subjects are United States Federal income tax, estate tax and gift tax, and is guaranteed to cure insomnia (warning--might cause terminal boredom). And, in contrast to LiterraryWench's fine debut story, only ultra-geeks and super-wonks would read my blog.
