Hi all,

I joined Literotica a few days ago. I see that my second submission has been approved, so I thought it time to drop by the forum, say hi and introduce myself.

My name is Scott Harper. I’m 33-years-old and live in New Port Richey, FL. I’ve been here for 10 years now and, to be blunt, hate this state. I don’t deal well with heat and humidity. I’m also a vegetarian, solitary, eclectic Wiccan and love animals, especially cats.

I’m an author/screenwriter with 20 short stories published ( not counting the pair that are now here on Literotica ) and have self-published three novels. My fourth novel, and the entire series it kicks off, has been picked up by Dark Castle Lords Publications. That novel was released on July 10, 2008. My first two novels are fantasy for teens/young adults. My third novel is action/adventure for adults. My fourth is horror for adult readers. In the summer of 2007 I was contacted, and subsequently hired by, the independent film company James Tucker Productions, which is based in Pasadena, California, to write scripts for two direct-to-DVD horror films. In early October, 2007, I began working loosely with the New Port Richey-based film production company 11th Dimension Films as a writer. 11th Dimension Films is currently working on pre-production of a short film I wrote for them. Mirage Publications, publisher of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books, is currently reviewing four story ideas I sent to them with their permission. I have also been in contact with Mirage about writing an original, adult-oriented TMNT novel. Currently, Mirage’s agent is seeking a publisher for the project.

With my schedule, I honestly don’t know how much time I’ll be spending in the forum here. But I do plan to at least drop by from time to time. I’m working on other things for Literotica, as well as other projects. The first story I submitted to Literotica was titled “New Member” and was written just for this site. My second submission here was called “Change of Faith”. It, and my third, “Contest”, were written some time ago and were only recently rediscovered on my computer’s hard drive, along with a couple of other pieces.

I began submitting work to Literotica as a writing exercise, a way to hone my craft and go in a different direction. My fourth novel, “Predators or Prey?” has some erotic content, but nothing like what I’m submitting here. I’ve found that I like Literotica and writing for the site in and of itself. It’s become not simply the writing exercise I intended it to be, but a joy unto itself. So, look for many more submissions from me as I can find the time to write and submit them. I hope you all enjoy my work!

Hi, Scott. Congratulations on getting your story up. A link in your sig line is very helpful.

A welcome  for the little newbie from the good little witch.

Gawrsh! A genuine professional writer. You really are welcome here among the "still trying" and rank amateurs, not that we don't have a few more of your ilk scattered around. Anyway, welcome . . . especially if you have any loose picnic baskets hanging around.

Glynndah,

Thank you. About the link and signature line...I've yet to see a place to do that. How is that done?

Blessed Be!

Everyone, thank you for the welcomes. It's good to be here. As I said in my first post, for me, Literotica was to be nothing more than a writing exercise. It's already become more than that.

Thank you again,

Scott Harper

I hate you already :D

Welcome to the AH. :rose: :)
Here's hoping your stay will be free of wandering into the midst of poo flinging.

Inconceivable! :D

I don't think that word means what you think it means. :D

Scott:

Seriously, welcome to the AH.

And seriously, you're a published author and an employed screenwriter. Where's that "Most Irritating Person" thread when you need it?

Finally, I'm dying to know. What's an adult-oriented Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle story? I hope it's not what I think it is.

TK

He's closer to the poo than he realizes. New Port Richey is across the street from my neighborhood. He can drop by and get it FOB.

God, no! The image of some lithesome thing trying to wrap her legs around Leonardo's shell just won't come up. My brain keeps giving 404 errors.

So I'm the only one here that has seen those illustrations of April and the gang in various *ahem* positions?

Not a 'plotless direct-to-DVD horror film' I hope? ;) Welcome to Lit.

Thank you. I took those steps, but the signature isn't showing up yet. I'm guessing it needs time to clear. Am I right?
