I am a new author on lit erotica. I am looking for someone to proof read, and give me some advice.

I tried the list of editors 5 times but its f**** coz one person did not want new authors, and the last four no longer did it. One man from Arizona masquerading as a female author, was actually quite pissed and sent me a very rude letter.

My problem is that when I try to rpoof read my work, I always end up rewriting the whole damn thing, leaving it, yes, still in need of proof reading.

I have a very direct, vulgar way of writing and wacky views of the world. My first story has some kind of error and the first page is hard to read. And as for my second story, I posted the wrong version. If you are interested, send me mail and I will mail them to you, then you read and decide if you wanna work with me.

My stories are in the IR section, but they are not about 12" cocks and sluts for black cocks. They could actually fall into erotic couplings.

This is a good place to look for someone to proofread for you.

Not my cup of tea, but good luck to you.

Give it 24 hours and someone will turn up.

If not, don't be afraid to bump it.

Have you tried the Editor's Forum?

As strange as it may seem I don't recommend the editor's list. Too many people still have their name on that list but are no longer effective as editors or even as Lit's members.

On the Editor's forum you're sure to find someone who is still actively editing and might want to take you on. I'm not saying we're perfect but I know, at least, that we're willing to work with writers.

Just my 0.02 :)

keep a look out for your work

Erotica is better when women write it. I'll keep a look out for your work.

I would respectfully disagree.

But erotica can be better when your partner reads it to you.

;)

There's also a story in How To about choosing an Editor (and another about not pissing one off). Someone doing this for free who takes the time to read your work, shouldn't get a second draft from you that requires an entire second reading (unless you make those arrangements beforehand). It happened once to me and I apologized profusely for asking her to rework it and she did it as a one-time courtesy. I never put her in that position again. It was incredibly rude and I'm lucky I didn't burn that bridge. An editor who works well with you is hard to find, you don't want to lose one you feel comfortable with.

I would be willing to proofread and even make some soggestions. Your description of your writing sounds a lot like mine. You can read some and see what I mean. However, I won't be very available until next month.

As for men or women being better, that is a matter of the individual authors and a matter of personal taste. :)
