New and old profile access

Hi, I'm aware of two specific profile designs on this site: the old-looking one as well as the new-looking one.

Editing my profile in the control panel only seems to apply changes to the new profile, yet in the chat rooms "user's profile" redirects to the old one. I've unfortunately noticed that the old style makes my profile look practically empty, only my biography and age are saved and accurate. The new one is only accessible if someone views my "forum" profile, which makes very little sense to me, and doesn't provide my age which I definitely opted to show.

Is this a bug? Is there a way to edit them both? I also can only view the old one on mobile. Attachments: my own profile(s)

You edit it here, in the field marked "Biography" at the top. It changes both profiles.

Again, that's only the biography. For some reason, the old-looking profile is mostly empty despite me having filled out most gaps. I want it to be as complete as the 'forum' one. The control panel as I said only changes the new, forum-style.

I assume you're talking about the Gender, Status and Orientation fields we see on the forum profile?

Dunno what to tell you. It's working for me. That's how I got them into my other profile.

but it does provide Date Of Birth field and an Age Privacy with four options Hide Age, Show Age, Show Day/Month, Show Full Birthday - so it is entirely up to you to enter whatever age you wish to pretend to be

it really is not my issue Louise - beyond what I wrote I don't care.
I hope you realise Lit land is but a fantasy. I have made long lasting life time friends that are now well entrenched beyond here but they were founded on values shared and recognised through mutual posting on topics over lengthy time periods - just like real life. The value of who you are will not be judged of the age you post or can not post.

Good for you. I get the idea you choose to focus on my age here, when I never said that was my main concern. I complained about everything that's not being shown in my profile, especially the old one being completely empty even though I see others having fully filled out profiles. Age is just one of these things, would you let it go and stop making snarky comments?

Cherry picking are we? In my first and second posts I did not address the age issue at all. I only ever mentioned it when the britva person asked about the forum profile. And I reiterated I was talking about ALL of the fields, which are, if you ignored the screenshots: interests, pets, fetishes, drinking, smoking, location. I didn't fill out height or weight on purpose, I'll give you that, while the smoking and drinking fields don't even appear in the control panel.

You were the one to address only my age out of all things and talk about the age privacy options, so quoting me responding to you doesn't prove anything. Why would I reply to you talking about all the other stuff if your suggestion only concerned that field and I had already outlined the whole problem earlier? It's fair to assume that a user who's unfamiliar with the site wouldn't know about these options, but my question "do you need to see..." was supposed to convey I already tried your solution.

I don't know if in your previous messages you used such a condescending tone on purpose but I did see your comments as snarky. As for your last point (which is valid), it's true I could have gone to the tech support forum. But I didn't, because I was unsure of whether I was just missing something or it was a real bug. The only 2 people that replied to my question weren't helpful, which is fine, but it hasn't even been a week since I posted my question, and any discussion took place once per day.
It's great you're aware of the rudeness in your last comment, but maybe next time, don't bring strangers' childhoods into an argument. You can afford that much courtesy, can't you?

They used to be two different areas and you could log in to the reading side without signing in here. You also had to fill in both profiles.

Seems the simplest thing to do is log in over there and change what you want to change, because the ONLY thing crossing both areas on my account in the biography at the bottom.
