Nevermind

Hanns, obviously you are upset right now. Which is why you need to step back for a second and think about what you are doing.

From what I gather, Laurel called the battle for Jenin a massacre. So? A lot of people have mistakenly referred to that event as a massacre. The media jumped on the term and it has been used ever since. Laurel's opinion means no more to me than anyone else's here at Lit. But she has the right to post her opinions, the same as you or anyone else.

Now here's the real problem Hanns.

You could have taken a few minutes and written a clearly articulated rebuttal that explains why it wasn't a massacre, providing links that discuss the number of people who died in Jenin, the tactics used by the Israeli military to minimize casualties, and the false claims that the Palestinians have made regarding the number of people who died. (50 actual dead as opposed to 500 as the Palestinians claimed)

But instead, you chose to spew hatred and venom across this board by starting a thousand diffferent threads, cursing without reason and generally acting like a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum. This makes people care even less about what you have to say. The opportunity existed to use Laurel's post to educate people about what really happened. Instead, you have shown that you are too immature to even discuss this with. Why would anyone waste their time.

While I agree with you that calling the battle of Jenin a massacre is wrong, it is her opinion. All you are doing now is devaluing your credibility as well as the credility of anyone that does not embrace the Palestinian side of the mid-east conflict. Personally, I couldn't care less about your credibility. But I do care that others that post about this issue will think that you are representative of the kind of people who will not accept or agree with the rest of the world in holding the Palestinians blameless for the conflict.

Why not try growing up and discussing issues and interacting wiht other here in an adult manner. That might make a difference.

this should stay posted.

I certainly agree. There are a lot of people here that is being truely annoyed.

you may not be a massmurderer, but you're no soldier. soldiers, real soldiers, have something i call "discipline." my dirty underwear has more discipline than you do, "sniper."

She refused to note that she was wrong.

She refused to take back her factually wrong spew

She called me and my comrades mass murderers

She will need to retract this

or I will flood this place until my dying fucking day

I have posted numerous UN findings into the Jenin battle on this forum.

Where you're wrong is that Laurel does matter more than the average scrote like PPman.

She ownes this shithole and is therefore looked up to by these forum losers.

1) She doesn't have to take back anything she said. That's called free speech. Live with it.

2) They are only words Hanns. That's all. You give them far more power than she ever did by your reaction.

3) Laurel's opinion doesn't matter anymore than anyone else's. Period! Unless she was a UN observer there it is just another opinion.

You just don't get it do you. I should have known better than to try. Sometimes I just overestimate the power of logic.
