I'm really tempted to try out Netflix. I'm curious as to how many rentals one gets per month, given that you have to send them back and forth through the mail. In addition, how long have you had it and do you love it?

I used this service. You get 3 initially, then you can send one back every day and you'll get one back in the mail within about 4 days (depending on how close their facility is). I got a new movie in the mail every 3-4 days, it worked out well. I think Blockbuster has the same program and its less expensive.

ALSO - word to the wise - they DO NOT POST a telephone number upfront. It takes a lot of hunting and their customer service is horrible.

How difficult is it to log onto the website and click on the 'contact us' section? It's NETflix, after all.

Garsh, thanks IM. Always the sage.

Mine seem to take like 2 days to get here. I think there may be a distribution center right near me/us.

I get 3-4 day turn around on mine. Havn't had any problems yet except for some discs arriving a little dirty/scratched. I've only had one that wasn't watchable.

Thanks! My main concern is that Blockbuster does not carry many of the films I enjoy. In addition, Blockbuster fucks with their films.

I moved in with her.

I get mine fairly fast-like, and I've never had a problem with customer service.

Depending on how busy I am, and whatnot, I tend to go through three movies per week.

I have never had a problem with Netflix. Turn around time for me is about 1-2 days... faster than I have time to watch 'em as I only watch one per night... if that.

Ditto. I send mine back early morning on my way out to work, and get the exchanges back in 2 days at the MOST.

I've also never had a problem contacting them, and their CS has been excellent during the one billing issue we had. They also knocked $5 off our monthly bill when we were thinking of switching to Cockbuster, (wtf was I thinking)

I get mine back in a day or two at the most also... and the few times I have ever had a problem with a movie not arriving here or being credited as going back to them all I had to do was use the problem reporting click in and it was settled promptly. I usually only watch the movies on the weekend so I probably get 8 - 12 a month. I like the wide variety of foreign movies and documentaries they have, which is a thousands time better than my local rental place.

Their customer service is A++++ EBAYER. I have never been pissed at Netflix. I have been a subscriber for several years (I am an early adopter). I have only had one disc not arrive at all. I have had about 3 too scratched to play. Their online customer service is immediate in regards to fixing these problems. Other inquiries were answered via email within 24 hours.

I fluctuate between plans: 3 at a time, 5 at a time and 8 at a time. This depends on how busy I am. Changes take effect with the next billing cycle if you choose to switch. They are just groovy and flexible like that.

More choices. More variety. Even if Blockbuster did become bigger or somehow better (which I seriously doubt), I would stay with Netflix out of loyalty.

It usually takes 2 days or less to get my little films and they generally receive them from me within one day.

It's like getting presents in the mail.

I am on the 5 at a time program. I usually get up to 25 movies a month.

I  netflix.

I've had netflix for a few years as well, and have never had a problem with them. I don't watch tv, so this is my primary source of flat entertainment. I usually get 1 day turnaround.

Note: netflix has about 2000 more movies than blockbuster's program. They have a large selection of glbt movies that blockbuster used to refuse to carry, a very respectable anime collection and lots of other junk I'm sure someone loves.

I could have 8 at a time out if I wanted, though it's been weeks since I have.

Thier costumer service isn't a problem for me as I don't use customer service.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I think I'm going to sign up for it!

What is the cost involved in the 5-at-a-time program?
