nerdy chicks

I understand your point about smb3 but the apeal of RPGs is the role playing... stepping outside of yourself and kicking ass. If you give most final fantasy games a chance they draw you in if you ever decide to pick one up start with either 7 or 10... 9 was good but kind of cliche and I think 8 was pretty crappy. but 10 is pretty straight forward and both have very unique magic systems. But the stories are just great choc full of love and death life and philosophy. Its a real mental workout and chasing the bad guy to beat his ass up is good. Lord of the rings return of the king is a good game its a lot of fun which brings me to my next point thats what games are for so if you don't think it is going to be I ask give it a chance and if you still don't like it stop playing but your better off in the end if you try it.

The problem comes at the first battle. I can't stand that type of playing. It's just... not very catchy. I just can't sit through it and hit these options or whatever.

Chrono trigger is not so bad though, but still has that element which turns me off.

But what do I know, I've only experimented with these games on other people's SNES systems though. I never did own an SNES, and when I did own a PS, I only had three games for it: 40 Winks, Spyro 2 and Crash Bandicoot warped.

sounds like you where in action platformerville

I thin you can get abargain bin FF7 for pc at your local video game/Giant retail store... I think you can't go wrong for 10 bucks

I actually played FF4 and FF!... mistake... I can't imagine FF7 being much better.

I'm a gamer, but I'm not up for this stuff. I only play games because it is a game. If I want to escape, I listen to music.

Howdy all,

I don't think I will go back and catch up on what I have missed here the last few months, but I will say Hello to oldies and newbies. Hope all are well.

I'd be considered a newb, but I think I have taken over as the leader of this thread... male-wise. (Come on... fight for this position, bring it on.) Anywho... hello.

question

I was wondering if anyone knew of any chat rooms where intelligent, if not nerdy time women hang out. I'd love to chat online with people who can hold an interesting conversation. Any ideas?

Stick to forums. I've never been into an intelligent chat room or where a chatroom remains into intelligent discourse for more than 10 minutes. Unless you are looking for just 10 minutes... I don't know where, but the SoulSeek chatrooms always show some promise.

As arule chatrooms are full of ten your olds that spam sentences like

Press ^^^ to cyber with a hot 18/m/NJ

stupid kids never learn.

Some SoulSeek chatrooms are pretty nice to go to, like the Glitch room and the SoulSeek Artists room... but I don't think you'll meet a lot of girls there.

On some IRC channels, there is a bit of spamming, but I suggest venturing into the moderately small to just simply small chatrooms.

I've found the music chatrooms are the most mature of them all. Don't know why that would be.

Thats because musicians are a totally different breed a lot of musics have to pay a lot of dues to get even a little recognition and as long as you are talking about playing or about being musically oriented you are more likely to find people interested in discussing music. however if you go into random band chat 111 your gonna get a lot of shit... Sucks but that's the way it goes.

anyways thats my 2 cents for the moment.. from time to time you can get a good game chat going and I susspect that if I were to hea over to a Programming cchat I could get some real help and a decent conversation... Allthough I suspect I would be provideing more help then I would be taking which would be cool.... but such chat rooms are hard to find usually underpopulated and few and far between

OFF-TOPIC
Succulent did you get my PM?

I don't bother with chatrooms anyways... IMs or message boards.

Might explain my high post count at OCR where it's at 6,200 posts or something like that. Here it is just starting...

I generaly keep it to ims I visit MB's to get the info I need then I usually leave th board in the dust a few times however I have contributed lik if I actually knew something but as a rule I don't have time to hunt down and help any newb I can but here its so much different i don't have to wade through and decode things ohh and nobody is nagging for help either... I figure when I am done with my career I will help others with whatever it is that I ended up doing... my ultimate goal is to leave the work force to teach in a college some form of programming.

My goal is to give help to the noobs on certain musical issues and critique others' WIPs. I think I am the most respected person on the Overclocked ReMix WIP boards as I critique about 50% of the pieces (the ones no one else will comment on.) I don't want to play too cocky though. I'm very clueless in how to moderate the boards if they ever ask me to moderate the board.
