Unfortunately, at this point in my life I don't feel that part of me gets enough expression, which is probably the biggest reason I've found myself here.

Life is ironic. Growing up as a guy I spent my youth persueing air heads, chics that were popular, and gals that were easy. Now, I find myself avoiding at any cost this type in favor of the intelligent, sensual, educated type. Gals dorks, geeks, and nerds are very sexy!

New Orleans has Marti Gras. Tampa Bay has Gauvaween (around Halloween) & Gasperilla (Spring), which are actually larger (and just as raunchy) as Marti Gras, albeit not quite as famous. Last night, some 400,000 party goers filled Ybor City (a section of Tampa -- imagine a 1/2 long mile strip a couple blocks wide with 183 bars, clubs and etc) in costume and partied hard.

OK, Guavaween is just a silly name (something about Queen Guava and the raising of the spirits -- I think it's a marketing ploy), yet it's one of the nation's 5 biggest street parties.

Gasperilla is named in honor of a pirate who invaded Tampa Bay eons ago, and is a two-week party that consumes everything around here. We have a recreated invasion by a crew of pirates, parades, and another 400,000 person street party... Jose Gasperilla used to come a'calling at Tampa's finest whorehouses with his crew (at Hooker's point, none the less, called that because the hookers used to stand out there for the sailors to see when their boats came into port). It's another one of the USA's 5 largest street parties.

Ever wonder where they get all that footage for "Girls gone wild"? It's here, at these parties The crews were out in full force last night...
