I've only had time to watch the first episode of Stranger Things. Got a long haul trip scheduled in the next few days, so will hopefully be able to watch the rest on the plane.

Books are always superior. I must be the only person of my generation who hated the Jurassic Park movie, purely because I read the book first. The film was so dumbed down that I hated it!

If you get a chance, definitely finish up watching the series....Stranger Things is such a great story and it is filled with 80's stuff that it'll give you nostalgia overload. (sure somethings came out later than the year presented in the series, but we can attribute that to an alternate world/timeline).

Books are great and love comparing them to the movie itself. Never did read Jurassic Park....but it's on my list, since I did enjoy the movies so much.


Farawyn and Simian.....don't get me started on recorders. LOL. Those things are so horrible, they're the musical instrument equivalent of a MST3000 movie, so bad they're good.

One thing I will give the recorder credit for....it was easy to learn different songs. Bad thing is, they all sounded alike and horrible.

Heya stranger! Yup....already awaiting season 2. Put on the first episode and i was hooked.....ended up binge watching it in an evening, glad it wasn't a work night. Plan on rewatching it through the week, take my time and appreciate the awesomeness of the show.

Usually don't like cliffhangers, because some shows tend to force the situation. Stranger Things resolved the issue....for the most part....but still left plenty of mystery to leave the audience in anticipation.

Hope Luke Cage is as good as Datedevil and Jessica Jones have been. And thanks for the reminder, almost forgot that was out. Also looking forwards to the new season of Ash vs The Evil Dead.

I'm going to watch Stranger Things again. Also, I'm FINALLY going to watch TWD.

Probably will save a third viewing of Stranger Things around Halloween....has that kind of vibe to it. And -still- haven't gotten into TWD.

I actually liked the Jungle Book a lot, and I am excited to hear John Favreau is directing the Lion King.

Ok so I know this is probably a weird thing to post about on an "adult" topic site but anyone else here a disney nerd? excited for the live action movies?

Not a huge Disney nerd, I don't love everything they make. I have three nieces and I don't really want them to watch the older Disney movies because it's always the woman being rescued by the man. I do love all their recent animated movies though - Zootopia, Big Hero Six, Wreck It Ralph. Absolutely brilliant.

Lot's to ponder at the end of Stranger Things! Eleven? Will? Hopefully season 2 will be just as good.

I'm going on holiday next week, Luke Cage will be my travel viewing.
