So, I'm replaying the Mass Effect games. Finished Mass Effect the other day and now I'm working my way through ME2.

That said, I'm also starting Airman Leadership School this week, and that sounds like it will take all of my time for the next month and a half.

Heh,I'm in re-runs,too,Tex. I'm replaying the Prince of Persia series.

Best of luck in Airman school.

Yeah, it's basically a 24 day class in leadership, communication, Air Force doctrine, time management, teamwork, etc. The idea is that it will be very high-stress, very time-consuming, very homework-intensive, and assuming that one is actually trying, very difficult to actually *flunk* out of.

Basically, just gonna be a tiring few weeks, but I just need to lean into it.

Hi everyone, i'm new to the forums, but I've lurked for a while. I'm a pretty big nerd; I write software for a living, I'm a ridiculously-techie musician (I often play keyboards with a laptop producing the sounds), I play some video games, etc.

I'm currently making my way through Skyrim; anyone else playing it?

I've played a little bit of Skyrim, but now Star Wars: The Old Republic has stolen my attention.

I am bitterly jealous of all people with high speed. I cannot move fast enough for me.

If you're referring to TOR, I heard disabling shadows helps tremendously. Mind you, I run at full tilt because I can  Go big or go home, right?

Among other games. I relocated to a rural farm area where high speed is unheard of and cows out number the people 3 to 1.

Evening all.. wanted to drop in and say that Pixie and I are officially expecting! :) Yay!!!

Fantastic news! Congratulations!
As a friend, I can offer you and Pixie a good rate for an exclusive spot for your child in my Cleric OCS program. Guaranteed results and job placement.

Happy new year, my nerds. May this year be better than the last.

High speed is always available hun:). You just get to pay for it is all. And pay heavily. Trust me, we might be just down the block from each other now a days.

"High Speed" Here means Hughesnet or wildblue satellite internet. I refuse to use satellite internet do to their practices and limitations.

I will not pay $120/month for less than 5 gig of completely interruptable feed which can be cut to slower than dial up speeds if they decide I've violated their fair access policy if they don't shut you down all together.

I live literally on a farm in a valley 35 minutes (roughly 22 miles) from the nearest place with high speed. Trust me, going on 3 full years here and I have tried everything. Even with satellite you can't play online games because the stream isn't solid.

Soon enough though! Seattle here I come!

Guess I got lucky that we only had to convince the cable company to run five miles of wire that we paid for and paid them their time to do it.

And no Seattle! It's yucky there. Rains all the time.
