Nerd Power!

Good evening all.

I cannot sleep. Stupid late shift has boned my circadian rhythm.

How goes?

Wow. My 12'er doesn't feel so bad now.

What brought forth the ego this evening?

Firefox keeps freezing up on me, and this account is saved to Chrome.. *shrug* Laziness I suppose. And I was multi-posting, as you can see above. The 20 second delay between posts can be irritating when you type over 100 words a minute

Huh. Glad I glanced up.

Hello Spicy. Haven't seen you around before. Welcome.

Over 100 WPM? Nice. Best I've clocked was 110 or so. Are you running windows 7, vista, linux, or something mac-y?

Windows 7, with a dual boot. Ubuntu on the second boot. Though, mostly Windows 7 since it works better with my games.

At my prime I was typing over 150.. I'm probably down closer to around 100 now *shrug* Haven't timed myself since high school.

I had to test for a job a few years back. We'll have a quickdraw type off later.
Loser losses pants and has to fend off the nerd ladies.

I've had nothing but trouble with Firefox and Chrome on 7. Tempted to simply use IE, but that laziness thing you mention is a powerful thing. Shrug.

I've had more problems with IE on 7 than either of the other browsers. Weird thing is, Pixie has NO problems with Firefox at all on her account on the same computer.... I've scanned for viruses and malware and found nothing.

And, um.. I think I can slow myself down to a considerable crawl if that's what the loser has to face

Are you running a lot of plug-ins for FF, and do you clear you cookies and history often?

A slow-off it shall be. My second will call upon you at dawn.

I will be working my second 14 hour shift at dawn. Inventory time at work, yays for being considered one of the able workers.

Running very minimal addons/plug-ins. Only one I can think of is a download accelerator, and I added that after I started having the problems. Cookies and History I clear on a semi-regular basis. (more often than Pixie does at the very least)

Weird. You're running the newest version, I'm presuming? Now my IT hackles are up. Wish I still had access to Kaseya so I could poke around.

Also, I just saw that someone is remaking John Carpenter's The Thing.
This makes me sad.

This also saddens me.

And yes, running the latest versions. Firefox doesn't even let you not run the latest versions :p

Actually, you can. It'll just prompt you to upgrade frequently.
I only recently let it update to this new... Streamlined form.

Not so fond of it though.

What song by who?

Watching what I assume is Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. Bizarre obstacle courses over a swimming pool with smartass commentators.

As funny as the American version is, somehow I remember the Japanese version being better, because I could never figure out what the commentators were saying, making the whole thing even more delightfully confusing. :D

Yeah, it was Wipeout I was watching. Laughed my ass off when one girl managed to get all the way across the Big Balls and one of the announcers said "That's... not supposed to happen." :D

I've watched Takeshi's Castle (The show MXC got the video from) Translated and MXC is way better. It makes me keep wishing Wipeout would add the Log Drop. Way more brutal than the big balls.

It's kinda funny what continues to entertain me despite never changing. Like that one panel that pops out and smacks everybody in the face on the carwash portion of the qualifier. Happens every time. I laugh my ass off every time. *SMACK*
