Bro! I am the "High Cleric" of a sect unknown to you..... The "Brethern Of The Most High And Righteous Nerds- Hardware Division".... (plus I have been on this god-for-saken-rock more than double your lifespan... SO! I claim the title of of "High Cleric Of Nerd-dom"!!! However, I suck at video games sooooooo badly it's embarassing! I'm hardware, what can I say? I STILL haven't finished "Unreal" in "God-mode", and wandered around "Pyst" for 1 fucking year before I gave up on the obtuse friggin nonsense of the game!!!!!! Arrrrrghh!!! Gimme "Tex Murphy" any day!!!!!

You claim nothing, little man.

Micro! Good to see you again.

Nerds, I come back to say hello, and find out who among you plays Starcraft II.

Figured out that burritos come out better if I heat them up on the Geroge Foreman as opposed to micronuking them.

Hello Cleric.. the imaginary love of my life...

so its Friday and my date cancelled on me.. :( guess I'll just get drunk!

Gettin ready to go out to the BX to buy a couple of cables I need for my dorm entertainment system setup (I need a 15 foot VGA cable to connect my computer to my television set, and if they have them cheap enough at the BX, a six foot HDMI cable to connect my XBox to my TV without having the XBox scooted all the way back on the shelf.

Had my first night of Korean class today. I'm liking it so far! MUCH easier to get into than Chinese was!:D

I'm a nerd, and very proud of it, I'm so nerdy that I managed to be called a nerd by the other guys in my gaming club :D

They finally shut off the AC in my dorm for the winter, so I'm not freezing to death anymore! Yay!

well I refuse to turn on the heat until I see frost that I have to scrap off on my car. so i'll wear ten layers of clothes..

Wait.. that could be a fun strip tease... *grins*

Just think, with all the money you're saving by not running the heat, you could buy a good webcam...;) (We really need a "Winking Devil" smiley)

So, went out into A-Town, now known as "The International Cultural Village", a bar-and-shopping-but-mostly-bar district three miles out from base, and hit up a few of the shops there. I now have a *coughcough* copy of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (still planning to buy the DVD, just to help make sure that epic movie makes money).

So, a question: If my video card's specs say it can decode Blu Ray discs, do I just need a Blu Ray drive, or do I still need special software?

You'll need just a Blu-ray drive, I think.

Neat. I'm thinking of getting a new video card anyways, since I saw one that has HDMI out, which should make connecting my computer to my TV for video-out much simpler (for some reason, the TV doesn't proportion things right with the VGA out. I wonder if that's why I got such a great deal on it).
