I would rather play sports any day of the week than watch them. Its funny you mention board games, we've been trying to get a board game night going here with friends. That and trying to hook a friend up with a friends girl's roomate. So its multipurpose.

Board games for the win! Since I have a kid though it seems like I play alot of Candyland and chutes and ladders. The schutes and ladders is at least a Marvel version. I am training my daughter to be a nerdy girl.

I am not sure that those thing make some a nerd. I think is more who you are than what you do. Lol. I am kidding if you like Dr. Who you could very well be a nerd. What kind of games do you play? Thats the biggie right there. If you game you are a nerd.

Catan is such a dreadful little game. Every once in a while I get sucked into playing because I (stupidly) think I can beat my friend who's pretty much a pro at it. Road building and Year of Plenty ftw!! Also, keep an eye on those ports...especially your Wood Port

There's a couple out there but I think it's one of the most popular. I've been trying to talk my friends into playing some modified rules, removing the Helipad tile and essentially playing zombie deathmatch, but no one will do it.

Nice. Gotta love no win senarios. The one my brother had was sorta Alien inspired where you had to get off the planet and the aliens were sawrming.

Well, there is a way to win Deathmatch. The idea is to get 25 kills first, as per the original rules of the game.

You can tell how long its been since I played, I don't even remember that rule lol.

I am training my daughter to be a nerdy girl.

You might check out Once Upon a Time. I played it with my daughter when she was five. Most of the cards have pictures, so she does not have to read. We also played it 'open', meaning everyone shows their cards so I could help her out sometimes when she would get stuck.

We also just discovered There's a Moose In the House. No reading required. This one is pretty simplistic and will get boring after a while. My daughter loves telling me there is a moose butt in my kitchen.
