Sex tends to cheer my girlfriend up. Failing that, watch a really funny movie, like Out Cold, or do something else that is similarly hillarious (a buddy of mine once cheered me up when I was in a deep funk by showing me a list of Mandarin swears/curses, including "May your child be born with an imperforate anus" and "Curse your ancestors to the eighteenth generation" and "You wear a green hat")

Really, when you study Chinese, some of that stuff is fucking hillarious.

Other than that, buddies, alcohol, and maybe comfort food (mmm chunky style spicy chili with shredded cheese) is always helpful.
