Nerd Power!

Ah well, so much for that. There are other fish in the sea, right? Perhaps I need better bait.

I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about the boy who completely ignored/didn't see my suggestion to go see District 9.

Yes, I know!

It was a joke, is all.
Haven't I been rooting for you to get with geek boy this whole time?

Nah, I'm pretty much done for now. My efforts never really work out.

That's the attitude that lost you browncoats the war.

On the other hand, obsessing over a target you can't attain isn't healthy either.

Are there targets that are obtainable? I doubt this.

If a target doesn't seem attainable, is it worth stressing about? He either is obtainable, in which case he's the jackhole for blowing you off, or he really isn't obtainable, in which case there's no point in stressing.

I was thinking Rog4/Sor4 - sneak attacks are much easier when you can't be seen. I do like the dual-wield idea, though - I could be a rogue o' nature, throw in some ranger.

I always though Rogue/Monk would be fun in theory, but I can never bring it off, mechanics- or RP-wise.

Rogue/Warlock from the Complete Arcane. (If we're talking 3.5 here)

Awesome combo, the Warlock's ray attacks can be used with Sneak Attack up to 30' away.

The problem with Nerd Boys is: that which attracts us to them, drags them from us. How can we compete with the things we love? Because..well...we love them. I can sure as hell be suggestive and dress scantily and cook seductively or flat out sink to my knees for my guy when he is say watching football or boxing or news or work at the kitchen table or even on the phone with one of the guys or playing anything with Madden in the title. I could do it and grin and feel fully justified.
But if he was obsessing over comics, getting costume bits for a convention, watching Firefly, playing video games(aside from anything with Madden in the title), collecting Bruce Campbell movies... I could not bring myself to interrupt because I share those passions and I would not want to take him away.
So Nerd boys with nerdly hobbies are more difficult because I understand them and respect them more. That is, I think, my personal problem.

While I agree with your statement. As a full on self proclaimed nerd boy, I wish my SO would join in, though, I self impose time limits, because I am notorious for getting runnel vision when working on a project, whatever it is. But I know this about myself. Not everyone does, I am a fan of talking though, so i have had some of these conversations and learned. XP for the win. heh

Not presently having an BF the point is, I suppose, moot for me. I have an interest but distance and other factors make it hardly more than an interest at the moment.
I for one do like to take an interest in the things that interest my BF, but somethings I will never get into and all I can offer is support of his own involvement with them. I've been told by more than one person that I was too open to the friends, interests, involvements of my BF's to the point of letting my own life more or less shadow theirs. I'm trying to be better about that now.

as of right now best buy has a 52 inch hdtv flatscreen tv for 10 bucks due to a glich
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8749287&type=product&id=1202649424157

lets see if the honor it and how long it stays up

Heh, I'd consider that, except I have nowhere to put a 52" TV without replacing half the furniture in my room.

Which would still admittedly be cheaper than a 52" HDTV.

Ves: I say keep trying if he was merely oblivious. Be bolder, more blunt and to the point maybe? Sorta walk up towards that line between assertive and intimidating.

And from personal experience, I can say two times a day is typically my limit. One time, when we both had a day off for the first time in several days of working opposite shifts during a nuclear readiness exercise (BTW, lunch time quickies while on duty is interesting and fun :D), she basically pounced on me and would not let me get out of having sex whenever she felt like it. Five times that day, the last time me just sorta lying there while she took what she wanted. The next day I was utterly exhausted and suffering minor chest paints. :)D)

^-^"

Hmmm - wish i had found this thread, where i feel totally comfortable and vindicated, so much earlier.

I am here now however. Hi to all.

Our dear friend and long-time Litster VandalHeart is out in Omaha right now getting ready to audition for American Idol!! :nana:

One slight problem though.. HE'S GOT NO PLACE TO STAY!! His lodging arrangements fell through once he got there, and all the hotels are overbooked.

If you or someone you know lives in Omaha, and might be able to help him out for the next couple of days until the auditions are over with, PLEASE pm me right away, and I'll put you in touch with Vandal.

Thank you!! :)

Warren Buffett lives in omaha! One of my US friends works for him! Maybe she could ask - if he he has no where to stay!!
