I definitely want to see District 9 too! I think I'm gonna have to wait until next weekend to see it since I'll be traveling/out of town on opening weekend.

And Vess, I'm there with you on the hair ordeal - my hair is finally at a not too short and not too long length that I like but it def. needs a trim and color.

Yeah, I only do mine every 4 months when I get my color touched up a bit, but 4 months of dead ends usually means at least and inch and a half to clean things up. I've got like another 4 inches of growing til my hair reaches my waist.

Well, I can say that I'm currently still upright and breathing, so I suppose I shouldn't complain. All's well that ends well, eh?

All's well that ends well, except for lives...
But that was covered by your 'still breathing' bit.

Nerds, I ask you this; what is the life well lived?

Looking the idiot playing the Gangrel in the eye and announcing "I have the bomb and I win all ties."

The throwing it to his paper. Then him realizing what it fully meant when an 8th Gen Brujah antitribu with out of clan protean announces such at thing. Then his further constipated look as I called for my follow up action tests for Elder Celerity.

Sorry, I'm a LARP nerdette.

How ya been? :)

Man, I had the bets night ever! I went out for drinks with my boss and ran into a pro photographer and he explained trade secrets and just was overly awesome. Long after my boss and coworker left, I stayed and talked with this pro. It not only re-kindled my love of photography, but allowed me to envision where my life would lead me in years to come.

Oh, since my last post wasn't really nerdy or even geeky:

Who else wants to see District 9? I'm thinking about asking the cute geek boy I've been crushing on if he wants to go.

i think most geek guys would jump at a shot with you at least once ves. so he better go if he doesnt there has to be some issue with his sanity :)

I'll probably need a bit of a morale boost Sunday to work up the courage. But this sort of thing is always nice to hear. Perhaps I'll tackle Cleric and force him to tell me I'm pretty, since he's actually met me, a many a year ago.

Hear hear.

Especially if that spell is Miracle, Meteor Swarm, or Evard's Spiked Intruding Tentacles.

Thinking about D&D, have you tried 4E?

I have not. I will refuse the urge to bash it without having tried it, but from the little bit of reading I've done of the PH and DMG, it appears they're trying to turn it into tabletop WoW. I'm sticking with 3.5.

By the way, was that an OotS reference? +1 internets for you.

It may have been on OotS bit, yes indeed.

Apparently, your appraisal of fourth seems to be the norm. I've tried one game, under a lousy DM, so I also try not to be judgmental... But yeah, WoW is a pretty accurate description.

Wyld, even LARPers are welcome in our hallowed halls. And anytime someone uses 'I win ties, bomb' bit, I smile on the inside.

Vess, were I not wed, I would take you in a manly fashion. I'm a cleric, not a bard... Only so many ways I can grant Morale bonuses!

Good to hear about the good night Tolyk. May your future be as blessed as you hope!

god i went to my friend's party the other day and someone was like does anyone want to roll lvl 1 characters, it was funny everyone was drinking and talking and all of a sudden everyone was sitting down playing D&D. it was funny. but i played the face man for once lvl1 half-elf bard with a diplomacy of +10 (for once i rolled some bad ass stats with 2 18s a 17 and the rest no lower than 11). Ok i cant figured out what OoTs means.... been racking my brain. oh and i tired 4th... i made it through character creation and doing one mission, and most of the people in the game quit. sept the DM and one player and that player told me a few months later that he ended up switching to 3.5 after he was the champion for 4th here for a while lol.

Noice. Spontaneous D&D is hard on a DM, but so very, very, satisfying.

OotS is Order of the Stick. Great, loooooooong running D&D webcomic.

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
