Thanks for the welcome back everyone :) Seems pretty much everyone I remember is still around being horny and nerdy - excellent.

Yeah, pretty much.
We're kinda at a Timelord-esque Perfect Stagnation point.
Nothing changes, 'cause we're awesome.

Hey all, had a recent storm fry my modem so I will be out of contact for a few days. Just wanted to give a heads up because frankly email on yahoo hates me more often than not.

Not too sure

Hi all

Being a newbie, I'm not too sure whether I belong here or not. I do like:

Obsessing over improving my stereo.

Trying to buy 'first pressings' of my favourite albums.

Bumping into / dropping things.

AD&D - First Edition rules with a few Second Edition adjustments (even impressed my fellow gamer friends by winning first prize at a 1990's GenCon, although, like stalwart nerds, they didn't show just how impressed they were).

Reading a book alone in the pub.

Quizzes and cryptic crosswords.

Bridge.

Arguing about stuff that has no bearing on everyday life. (or maybe it does? hmmmmm).

Star Trek (except DS9 and Enterprise).

Inserting pointless gaps between sentences.

losing my reading glasses. And finally;

Trying to get my head round gravity.

I suppose I'll just have to wait and see if my particular brand of nerdiness (or is that nerdishness?) fits the bill.

Welcome! As the Nerd Empress I greet you into the fold. You will find your gift baskets in the next room, filled with MtG cards (for use or sale) The accidental upside down cover edition of the AD&D basic rules, and a generous helping of assorted dice. Please do enjoy your stay with us! Our Nerd World is your Nerd Word.

Whoa. Awesome.
THAC0... I haven't thought about THAC0 in forever...

As the Empress already said, welcome to the nerd thread.

Sometimes there's nothing sexier than thinking about all the things you wish you had done to someone while you had the chance. That's my thought for the evening.

Thank you lil_squirter and SexyCleric for your welcome, I will endeavour to share my nerdy thougts from now on.

In response to Vessira's 'thought for the evening', I totally agree. I spend a lot of time thinking about a fellow nerd that I knew a few years ago. Because we were both with partners (and frustratingly lame), we could only express our lusty desires via texts. - she had the naughtiest mind, combined with the most innocent of faces. Mmmmmm.

My (non-sexual) thought of the day: I'm due for my haircut this month to keep it healthy (I only do it every 4 months) but it finally has some awesome length and I really don't want to cut it. Oh well.

Oh, since my last post wasn't really nerdy or even geeky:

Who else wants to see District 9? I'm thinking about asking the cute geek boy I've been crushing on if he wants to go.

i support both of your thoughts entirely you should ask cute geeky boy out. And wear something with cleavage when you do. No man can resist it's siren call.

On the hair note, I feel your pain. I need to get rid of 5 inches of dead and split ends, but then my hair will be under two feet of length. this bothers me. Grrrr...

District 9 looks pretty cool, though I wish JAckson would get to work on the Hobbit. Grrr...

Def. ask him out - now geek boy in his right mind would turn down that invite.
