So since we're discussing red heads, as I get older I lose the curl in my hair. It was straight as a kid, curly in highschool and going back to straight. I am debating if I should perm it back to spiral curls or not.

Depends on the hue. Deep, dark red cries for curls, or at least some wave. More of an orangey or strawberry blonde hair looks best straight and long.

But I've never seen a head of red hair on any woman that wasn't absolutely beautiful.
