I have many nerdy interests but comibooks occupy my mind most. I like to draw and one kid paid me 10 bucks to draw one of the characters topless and I had read it because it was such a bizarre comic. I was hooked and not faithfully go to my LCS every wednesday

I know what you mean ^-^".

*Is up to her head in commissions*

Ahhh, so much stuff to do, so little time. Just thought I'd check in with my fellow nerds. Hope all are faring well.

All are welcome within our hallowed halls. Just... You know, wipe your feet.

What's kept you busy Ves?

Just a busy social life. Lately I've been hanging out with my girls quite a bit. This of course, is a total transformation from 3 years or so ago when we last hung out, but I'm rather proud of it. Nothing is perfect, but I seem to actually be moving forward.

Nice!

Social lives are nice to have.

Ebay is best for getting rid of MtG cards.

What anime/manga titles are you trying to get rid of?

Help

Hey my fellow nerds..

Have a computer problem and don't know how to fix it...

I have a couple viruses on my external hard drive which then get transferred to my laptop everytime I want to play some of my old music downloads...

I know that its because there is porn on my hard drive that was downloaded from limewire.. just didn't realize how much and what shit was attached to it.

I have tried to use my virus scanner on my laptop to scan the hard drive but no avail it will only scan the C drive of the laptop.
My choice one was to put everything on my laptop, scan it, and then move everything back but that is a lot of time and more patience than I will ever have..

choice 2 is pay someone to fix all of my problems but broke since i'm moving in two weeks into a new place.

choice 3- have some of my brillant friends on here to come up with something that would work that won't cost me an arm and leg.

Thanks for your help..

Micro.

i know avg and norton will scan exsternal hardrives you could try one of those. and since ur broke id go avg

also have my own question

Ok from what i have seen lately my firefox 3.0.11 seems crash when i am using facebook chat. now i am not sure how to fix this. ideas would be helpful, but i may know a little about computers but not to to much so you might have to bare with me.

Both are good questions.

The first about anti-virus problems - Have you tried to run a manual scan with your anti-virus program, I know you said it won't scan the external but are you just trying the regular scan or a manual one? Also what AV program are you using?

The second question - Do you have VLC? If so then I believe that causes problems with their chat. First you should go to VLC and update the media player software. If that does not work you can disable their plugin via the directions below.

Go to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins. Then search for the VLC media player plugin. Click it and hit the Disable button.

For the virus thing, yeah, try AVG, or try one of the online virus scanners. McAfee has one, Panda has one, there are a few others.

Since an external HD connects to your system as any other I am not sure why any scan wouldn't recognize it. You may have to open the prog and make sure it is set to recognize it but I have never before heard of a nonrecognition issue.

That's odd on so many different levels...

First off, if your scanner won't recognize the external, you should get rid of it and download AVG. If you have the cash to blow on it, I highly recommend Trend Micro PC-Cillin. Very good program.

Second off, bad Micro! Bad! Limeware is bad! BAD! Use a torrent program. Way safer.

Thirdly, you might want to consider simply reformatting the external if you can't get a program to scan/remove the viruses. Very unfortunate if they made their way into your system folder on the laptop.

Staring at an inbox full of work emails and not wanting to answer any of them. The gall of people to email me over the weekend so that they pile up.
