On a side-note. Street Fighter IV anybody? Forgot how much I loved straight-up 2D fighting games.

I actually didn't like Street fighter IV all that much it just felt off I took it back after the first week of having it, Now I am waiting on BlazBlue and King of fighters XII

Next they'll fluffify Werewolves! Maybe eight foot tall cute cuddly purse dogs! Or better yet, Chihuahuas!

Okay, I know I'm very late on this, but I thought it bore mentioning.

Universe: Old World of Darkness
Game: Werewolf: the Apocalypse
Tribe: Inutil (Spanish: Useless)
Breed: Werechihuahua
Auspices: as Werewolves, just less respectable
Totem: Wombat

Special rules for Inutil:
All rules apply as normal for the Red Talon tribe, but when in war form, Inutil must succeed on Rage rolls twice, and before making any attack, they must spend one round running in a circle and peeing uncontrollably.

Alright. I'm back. But I'm here for a purpose.

Let me begin by saying this is not a flame. Well, it's not just a flame. This is not an unprovoked attack. One could say that since I'm directing this post at someone in particular, it could be considered vengeance. In response to that unspoken retort, I offer a line from a movie. The target (not subject, target - I know full well this is an attack) of this post has stated that Punisher: War Zone was superior to it's predecessor. I beg to differ, and as I prove to you why, here's my response to that unspoken retort I mentioned:

"I leave this as a declaration of intent so no one will be confused.
Number one:
Sic vis pacem, para bellum. Latin. The boot-camp sergeant made us recite it like a prayer. Sic vis pacem, para bellum. If you want peace, prepare for war.
Number two:
Frank Castle is dead. He died with his family
Number three:
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment."

Shame on you for preferring gore over poetry. Shame.

Now, for some academics. The need for these academics will not be explained, but hopefully they will be understood as relevant.

Fixation (psychology)

In human psychology, fixation refers to a state in which an individual becomes obsessed with an attachment to another person, being or object.

Sigmund Freud theorized that some humans may develop psychological fixation due to:

1. A lack of proper gratification during one of the psychosexual stages of development, or
2. Receiving too strong of an impression from one of these stages, in which case the person's personality would reflect that stage throughout adult life.

Whether a particularly obsessive attachment is a fixation or a defensible expression of love is at times debatable. Fixation to intangibles (i.e., ideas, ideologies, etc.) can also occur. The obsessive factor is also found in symptoms pertaining to obsessive compulsive disorder.

Next...

Hubris (/hjuːbrɪs/) or hybris (/'haɪbrɪs/) (ancient Greek ὕβρις) is a term used in modern English to indicate overweening pride, superciliousness, or arrogance, often resulting in fatal retribution. In ancient Greece, hubris referred to actions which, intentionally or not, shamed and humiliated the victim, and frequently the perpetrator as well. It was most evident in the public and private actions of the powerful and rich. The word was also used to describe actions of those who challenged the gods or their laws, especially in Greek tragedy, resulting in the protagonist's downfall.

Hubris, though not specifically defined, was a legal term and was considered a crime in classical Athens. It was also considered the greatest sin of the ancient Greek world. That was so because it was not only proof of excessive pride, but also resulted in violent acts by or to those involved. The category of acts constituting hubris for the ancient Greeks apparently broadened from the original specific reference to mutilation of a corpse, or a humiliation of a defeated foe, or irreverent "outrageous treatment" in general.

The meaning was eventually further generalized in its modern English usage to apply to any outrageous act or exhibition of pride or disregard for basic moral laws. Such an act may be referred to as an "act of hubris", or the person committing the act may be said to be hubristic. Atë, ancient Greek for "ruin, folly, delusion," is the action performed by the hero, usually because of his/her hubris, or great pride, that leads to his/her death or downfall.

And lastly...

A Contrary was a member of a Native American tribal group in North America who adopted behavior that was deliberately the opposite of other tribal members. Contraries were often found in tribes of the Great Plains and the Southwest. In the Southwest, this person came to be seen as a clown during ceremonial occasions. On the plains, this disparate behavior amounted to a cult in its own right.

NOTE: Actually, I will explain that last one. This ain't a tribe, and you ain't no cult leader. So, kindly shut your diarrhea-resembling pie hole.

Alright. Now that we have the academics out of the way, allow me explain why I am digging this hole. Scroll down, right now, and read my signature. Just the first part. Once you're done come on back up. Go ahead. I'll wait.

I take that role very seriously (and if you did as you were told, you'd know what I'm talking about). Make no mistake, I know that's just a silly little title, and it's not as if it was an elected position, but fuck it. I asked if I could put it there, I got a green light, and I put on the hat. Sadly, I abandoned this thread because I didn't want to put up with someone and possibly do something I might regret. Kind of like what I'm doing right now. The person that ran me off didn't even know they did it. And that's not fair. He needs to know. I'm not going to name names, not because I'm trying to protect anyone, but because he knows who he is, or at least he will very shortly, and the rest of you...well, if you can't figure it out, then just do a little research. There's enough data in the first paragraph to figure it out. Get to it. Am I arrogant? Fuck yes I am, and on my best days I'm arrogant as hell. Is this unnecessary? Maybe, but here it is. Am I rude? I do my best work by yanking the covers on what people want to see, so yeah. But when you're done reading I want you to ask yourself if I'm wrong.

People like to think that nerds are social misfits. That's one of the major reasons we come here, to this thread - to be open with our nerdiness without fear of retribution or unsolicited attack. And for a while, we managed to keep it civil and fun. Then that one motherfucker that always has to fuck everyone's groove comes along. Let me tell you about my friend Brian. No, this isn't the target.

Brian is a 20-something guy who lives here in New Orleans. I've been to his house a few times, mostly because my girlfriend was making him a cake (that he still hasn't paid for, I might add). They're friends and she wanted company. Brian has...well, the only way to describe it is he has a lot of shit. He owns more video games, movies and toys than I would have time to count if she made him another fifty cakes. He even admitted that he hadn't even watched them all or played them all. He's loud, he spent most of the collective six hours we were there showing me around his house and just pointing at stuff. Apparently, he spends 8 hours out of every day being a security consultant and installer, gets paid more money than anybody that young should, and then spends all of it on stuff that he will fawn over for a few hours and then file away on a shelf to show off to people that eventually won't give a flying shit. This. Is. What. He. Does.

Now, Brian is a nerd by nerd standards. He doesn't fit in, so he overcompensates in ways that are ridiculous and pathetic. He's loud, pushy, rude and taunts his gay renters (yes, he rents part of his house out and STILL has no money at the end of the day) with the fact that he has no gag reflex (demonstrated by bread sticks) and then reminding him that he is 100% straight. In the scientific world, we refer to this specimen as a douche bag.

My target shares these and a few more traits with Brian, the most infuriating of which is the uncontrollable, pointless, compulsive need to disagree with everyone who mentions anything of which he even knows the slightest detail. Nothing is sacred: movies, music, toys, collectibles, games, anime (oh dear gods in the supernal, the anime), etc. If he's even heard of it, he has an opinion, and it's opposite of yours. This is because he believes he has nothing worth saying that anyone wants to hear, and in a way, it's a self-fulfilling curse. Because he thinks nobody wants to hear it, he overcompensates, and suddenly, nobody wants to hear it. It's pathetic, really. You see, he's a punk nerd. He's that snot-faced shit who never adds anything of any consequence to the conversation, derails conversations at all opportunities, and has to disagree with everyone just so that he can contribute in some way that he feels makes him look cool. He's the reason I don't post on this thread anymore. Unfortunately, today I was infected with a terminal case of the fuckits.

Alright. That was for everyone else. Alright my little target, this is for you. There's nobody else here right now. I can guess that you're probably pretty angry right now, because you know I'm talking about you. Likely, since this thread attracts the smartest people on Lit, they have it pretty well figured as well. I know, it sucks. Problem is, right about now you're already formulating your response. You're not paying attention. I know this because that's not what you do. You see the words and you fit your mind into the subject, but you don't read between the lines. You don't try to formulate a response. You simply pop off with the first thing that comes to your head. I know this because you never proofread. You're in too much of a hurry. You grammar, spelling, and punctuation is horrific, when it's there at all. And don't give me that shit about it being the internet age and everyone else types like that so why should you have to. Have some fucking self respect, because at this point, it's the only respect you're going to get from anywhere. I'm even starting to wonder about your propensity for disagreement hinging on the scantest of knowledge, because you have never once in the past 30 pages of this thread asked for an explanation of anything, and yes, I looked. I would bet at least ten bucks on the possibility that you don't even know what you're trash-mouthing half of the time. You just see a subject, find something to bitch about in it, and fire away. You're worse than a Southern Lawyer when it comes to the narcissistic need to hear (okay, see) yourself talk.

PAUSE - don't even try saying I love to hear myself talk, too, because I already admitted I was arrogant, and you didn't have to read this far - UNPAUSE

I'm not saying you need to go the fuck away. Nobody is telling you to leave. We would never be so rude as to ask that you kindly go away. Although if you can't take the advice already given to you and grow the fuck up, it would be a nice alternative. If we were to decide that we're kicking you out, that would make us just rude.

And we will not lower ourselves to your level.

So, straighten up, fly right, and quit being an insufferable little turd. Quit acting like a stalker, stop being contrary on principle. Quite frankly, that's my fucking job, and you aren't cut out for it. If you need clarifications on these actions you are executing, I'd be happy to offer explanation either here or anywhere else of your choosing. I'm not cruel for cruelty's sake. I do nothing without a purpose.

Now, there is, of course, not a damn thing I can do about your behavior if you decide to stomp your foot and just be obstinate (look it up). You could keep going and act as if this isn't you I'm talking about. Hell, you can go on doing what you've always done without consequence. For the immediate, at least. However, I for one, from now on am going to entreat everyone to simply ignore you until you stop being an ass. I, on the other hand, am going to find every post you make hereafter which demeans this thread with epic level boneheaded slaver, and I am going to quote it, simply replying with the words, "Shut up." It really is that simple. I'm going to be your watchdog. I will watch you every step of the way until I think you have taken the Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formerly Known As Prince's advice and act your age, not your shoe size. The first step to managing this, in my opinion, would be to apologize to everyone on this thread. We'll listen. We'll accept it, and we'll welcome you back to our good graces without any ill will. I will still call you on your bullshit, but it won't be in a malicious way. I will be here to teach you.

AND MAY ALL YOU VILE HUMPS OF SLAG FOR WHOSE SKIN THE GODS HAVE NOT FOUND A BETTER USE FOR THAN TO HOLD YOUR SORRY ASSES TOGETHER ON THIS THREAD THAT MAKE A LIAR OUT OF ME AND KICK THIS KID WHEN HE'S DOWN, I WILL SWALLOW YOUR FUCKING SOUL IF I HAVE TO BANKRUPT MYSELF TRACKING YOU DOWN TO DO IT.

Now. Your move, kid.

The target (not subject, target - I know full well this is an attack) of this post has stated that Punisher: War Zone was superior to it's predecessor.

I have 'em on the ignore list, so I never saw this. Had he not already been on the ignore list, this would have been enough to warrant it.

I would simply argue that you would be wasting your digital breath.

While I certainly admire any attempt to salvage or otherwise redeem someone, I've learned, from rather hard experience, that the only way to effect change one someone unwilling to change, is to do so by force. Your eloquent, if not gentle, guidance will fall upon deaf ears, and eventually he'll chafe, try to ignore you, and ultimately leave for more mundane fields. Probably 4chan or Somethingawful.

I'm not saying don't do it. Everyone needs their project people, but ultimately, a man can either make it here on the thread, or not. We're a selective bunch, and for the most part, decent folk. Some more vile than others, but decent.

On a side-note. Street Fighter IV anybody? Forgot how much I loved straight-up 2D fighting games.

Is wonderful. It really takes me back. Even to the memories of the final boss flat out whipping my ass over and over and over again on anything past normal difficulty. The computer AI seems kind of whorish though. Particularly C. Viper and Rufus. Do they really need a counter to EVERY move you can do?

Oh well. i'll go find my PS code, and post that up here. the Wii one too. It may be a little older but nothing makes for fun like brawl.

*jaw drops* I have apprently missed. A Lot.

*climbs on usey's head* Hi Hi my asian pal, how's it hanging???
I played a little bit of SF4. I don't know how to play it <.<" I'm a button-masher that gets her ass whipped.

Vandy- Don't get me started on Punisher: Warzone. Me & CT saw it ( he fell mostly asleep) but here's some key points: Cheesey, Neon Crosses, People's heads completely blown off/

*Nods* That is all. Oh and Clerky still looks like Simon Pegg- To me at least.

I hear you!!!!

**Note: The PS Code/ Wii Friend code is also mine as well! So if anyone wants to play Little Big Planet or Animal Crossing: City Folk with me, you can :D Or Brawl. I like Brawl too!!!

I only have a couple things to say on the whole Punisher thing. War Zone was more like the comics, The Thomas Jane version was weak to us fans who have read the Punisher Max comics because first Jane looked nothing like Frank, Second Frank is not the type to make friends Never.

War Zone did have a weaker writing thus giving nothing for the actors to work with. But Ray Stevenson was Frank Castle Thomas, Jane was well Thomas Jane trying to be Frank. Also War Zone had an actual comic book villain JigSaw along with his human flesh eating brother are from the comic books. So even though both are flawed I have to go with War Zone because it is more like the comic book I love.

Enough on that subject How is everyone doing this morning.

Thanks, I think I am going to going to Go Watch Lion King Again I have been in my disney movie lately.

Yeah I watched Wall=E, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, now I want to Watch lion, Dammit I need Fantasia in my collection What is wrong with me I should have that ( hits self on the head).

original Fantasia or Fantasia 2000?

2000 was good too though, Gotta love disneys classic animation frame by frame movement alot of anime lacks that now of days ya know?

I wouldn't compare disney films to anime though. The closest I would compare I suppose would be Miyazaki- and even then, Studio Ghibli is partial owned by Disney itself. They're different animation styles, one more mature than the other. But both should be viewed as art.

Yeah but I was just saying stuff like Akira which had a lot of frame by Frame animation is beautiful to look at. But both are art I just hate when they Lazy up I mean its the year 2009 It should be amazing indeed. But then again I am no animator I would love to be one but I am not so It must be a challenge doing that stuff.

Shut up.

I guess that answers my question. You don't have to actually know anything about the subject before you disagree out of hand. The MAX imprint is not the only logo Punisher has been published under. First off, he has been around since before there were any imprints of Marvel. Second, the storyline from the 2004 Punisher movie was a (mostly) faithful retelling of [/i]Welcome Back, Frank[/i], with a change on the villain's name, a change in the location, and minor changes to a few other characters. Oh, and in WBF, he made friends, even though he tried his ass off not to. It was pretty much just as it was in the 2004 movie.

Oh, and don't say "us fans." I am a fan. You aren't even a fanboy. Fanboys at least know what the fuck they're talking about. You're just a jerk who doesn't know when to shut the hell up.

I tried to give you a chance. Good job wasting it. I hate people.

Time to Put someone on ignore. Your a good example of a person that likes to mess the genre up for everyone else. You just proved your immaturity by going Your just a Jerk.... yeah I am a real jerk, first you don't even PM me you just off on me in the thread and made yourself look really immature, then you went "I hate people" how can you hate a person you don't even know? People have different opinions get use to it.

Enough on this subject.

Others have tried to pm you. I don't work like that.

And I didn't say I hated you. I said I hate people, who have proven to me, more often than not, that they are self-centered, stupid jerks. You are being a people.

Stop it.
