I have had one relationship that "started" over the net. I liked it and I miss her greatly. I wouldn't trade the time for anything. Well, maybe the time for her now, but that is some kind of weird paradox

However, I really got into the net in the late 1998 when my girlfriend at the time moved to Chicago. We were both poor and it was before the time when cell phone long distance was cheap. We conducted a relationship over the net for almost a year (with phone calls every so often and a few visits) for over a year before it truly blew up.

We were off and on for another two years before she told me she had met her "soulmate" on EQ and no longer wanted to talk to me.

I dated a guy I met on WoW for about 7 months. There were high and low points to the relationship, but eventually he just disappeared. Left a bunch of stuff at my place too. It's why I'm now the proud owner of a number of Graphic Novels, Anime Movies, etc that I was not before.

Well that depends on the sex. I'll admit, with my ex, I turned down sex for gaming. But the sex was pretty damn bad, and I never got much out of it.
