Kurt has always been moody and with good reason, his mother, his inability to live a normal life..but one of the cornerstone things baout him (And we're talking back to Excalibur and earlier) is that Kurt faced life with a smile and a joke. He was alwys the spirit of the team and Kitty was the heart.
Where his dark brooding nature came from just makes no sense, it is every bit as pointless as Warrens transformation into an actual angel or the entire introduction of Lifeguard.
Ok sorry on that last bit but I always hated Heather.

I've just discovered that Sci-Fi is not choosing to pick up an 11th season of SG1. They have excercised the right out of the contract and as it stands the remainder of season 10 will film and air but nothing more from there.

Actually, from what we've seen of him, Jayne, while crude, is downright gentlemanly with women. If she's not interested, he very quickly moves on to the next one, but if she IS interested, then lots of fun involving large quantities of alcohol and firearms ensue.
I'm contemplating dressing up as Simon Tam. Unfortunately, I'm just a bit too fat for it (while it wouldn't show through a coat or vest, it would show around the neck, as simon is a skinny, snakelike guy (especially when he wants to be). That said, I could totally pull off the snooty socially akward act, though I don't know if Firefly is nearly as big out here in Arizona as it was in College Station.
The sad thing is, I'd do much better as one of the one-off characters, like Dobson, but nobody would recognize me (especially if I went for one-eyed Dobson from the comics).
