I think if you reduce a molecule to below absolute zero, it will simply start moving in reverse.

It makes perfect sense. As the positive temperature gets closer to zero, everything moves forward more slowly. Get it below zero, and everything will begin moving backwards, faster and faster the farther into the negative temperatures you get.
