Well I'm free for chatting.

After 3 years of marriage and 4 years of being together my husband left me at the beginning of May, since then my parents also decided to proceed to evict me from the house my husband and I were renting from them. I've managed to struggle through with the help of some very good friends and I'm in the process of doing up some paperwork to start up my own business. I'm finally able to do the things I've strived to do because I don't have anyone holding me back. On that same note I also don't have the personal support that a spouse offers (or should offer anyway)
Just recently another man I had fallen pretty hard for was also lost to me, I'm having a harder time dealing with the end of that relationship than the end of my marriage, that being a fresh wound I'm still licking it at the moment and looking for any distraction I can.
pity party anyone.. well that or DDR and singstar?

Well, it's official. Final Fantasy XIII will NOT be a PS3 exclusive. That's right, Square-Enix will be releasing it for XBox 360.
That was pretty much the only reason I even considered getting a PS3, so you can bet I won't be getting one now.

Freaking fickle square! I've been pissed with them for over a year now too, they said it was a PS3 exclusive, they said it'd be finished half way through last year.
It's now not exclusive (and exclusives are faster to program, so there's going to be MORE delay), and the release date doesn't even exist! I can't see myself buying FF13 until it's dropped down so low in price that Square makes next to no money off me.

Well, it's good news for me because I absolutely hated the idea of getting a PS3. I really wanted to get an XBox 360 ever since I got into Halo, and now I have even more of a reason to get one.
Of course I need to get a Wii first. Gotta get my Smash Bros. on!

I've always thought Halo was a cheesey version of Unreal Tournament, or any of the higher end PC shoot-em ups. Never been interested in the XBox at all.

The only FPS games I'd ever played before Halo was Wolfenstein 3d.
Big step up. I haven't played any of the others. I really want to play Bioshock, but I'm thinking Gears of War might be a little out of my league. As for MMO's, the only ones I really play are the free ones. I love Shayia by Aeria Games, and a friend of mine got me into Albatross 18 too.

Which is funny, cause Halo traces its lineage back to the Marathon FPS games, which Unreal most likely owes quite a bit to. Marathon is one of the OG's of FPS gaming.
The story in the first Halo is kinda weak, but it has some cool moments and twists. Halo 2 is a lot more fun and varied in the story mode, and Halo 3 is just awesome, even if they did completely backburner the Covenant civil war storyline from Halo 2.
That said, Unreal Tournament 2004 is a lot of fun from time to time.

On the topic of Magic -- Who has any information on that PS3 Eye of ____ game that uses the new eye and "magic" like cards... I just saw it at EB when I went in there the other day and the idea of it makes it my kind of game

Eye of Judgment is bundled with a playing mat, a Playstation Eye, the stand for holding the PlayStation Eye, and I think like 2 packs of playing cards. It's roughly a combination of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Triple Triad. Haven't played it myself but I've watched people play it at my local Hobbytown. Where they also have a dedicated war room for playing Warhammer 40,000.
