True that! Yeah there are a few, I'm really just exaggerating my moaning because I tend to get bitter every time there's a comic-con and I'm not there. :p

Oh don't I know the feeling!!!!!
It sucks not being able to go even if all the guests suck. the conradery is well worth it.

For me? My fantasy nerd, to be honest.....maybe more of a geek. Regardless, as I said, definately my fantasy guy. Sexual and nerdy. Maybe watch the SCiFi channel all night with me in the buff... *grin*

Wow. Not that I'm offering you already have quite a few.

But that is specail. I remember lying nude under the covers with a good freind, Watching Perfect Blue, followed by the entire Transformers First Season. It was great.

Giant robots and naked girl. What more could a man want?

If it wasn't for SciFi conventions (Dragon-Con, Atlanta Fantasy Fair, Dixie Trek, etc, etc) I'd still be a horrible introvert. To mingle with like minded people and party with them....oh yes, much fun was had :D

Ah yes, Dragon Con. I've always wanted to go to that one too (just because it's nearby) but after seeing reports from Comic Con it's just like woaaaaah.

So seriously, these things get pretty wild? There's huge geek parties?

Ok before I run off.

I just helped run animethon this year. I was helping run and organize the games room.

We had 31,000 people come to animethon this year, If the numbers everywhere hold true.

There was a massive geek party.

And the Smash bros tournament was 64 people playing. over a 200 large audience that stared at the windows since we could not get them in due to firecode.

And I swear it was Geek fightclub in there.

Yes we have the party downs.

You know it. I learned how to drink and...other things...at conventions. Damn, yuo guys are making me miss that! I started going at 15 and haven't been in quite some time now....something like 7 years. Dragon Con isn't now what it used to be. It is a lot larger and less feels like family...I need to move and find other conventions to explore...

Well, D&D in general sucks now :p Edition 3.5 my ass :p

I've actually never been to a convention. Of any sort.

I haven't played since 2nd E and when I read the 3E books I was totally confused.. I'd love to find another D&D group and get back into it though

I don't support Wizards of the Coast anymore, ever since they mulitated D&D. I used to play Magic: The Gathering, but stopped that too..

I no longer have a group, but looking at getting one together, have a few people possibly interested. We'll probably be playing White Wolf or Palladium games.. or hell, my own game if I ever get it finished.

I tried online gaming and it wasn't for me.. I feed off the creative energy of those around me, so I roleplay best when surrounded by a good group.

I sold off my cards to a friend a long time ago, but I have a few still kicking around, enough for 4 or 5 decks.

Okay, yeah, now I definitely need to go to one of them things.

I'd love to go to a party like that, I think it may be the only kind of party i'd fit into

Heh... I've been to LAN parties before but they're usually really chill, not to mention with an unfavorable male/female ratio. I need to hit up these more hardcore parties of which you speak.

I've always fit in anywhere I wanted to be.. *shrug* I don't feel right at a nightclub, but I still get out and dance, and shark the pool tables... etc :p

I was never a big online gamer. I used to play my old console RPGs (NES and SNES), and I played Myst back in the day, got into the Sims too for a while. But then someone introduced me to World of Warcraft and it was a whole new ballgame. I also like Civilization, Sim City, that sort of thing.
