Wow, reading throught this, it seems like this thread dies on the weekends. Where are we nerds going on a weekend?

Although all the stuff that I missed on Friday has taught me not to take a day off from the thread to fly.

Endlessly playing WoW and going to experimental Powernoise concerts... well at least for me.

I tend to have a bunch of kids around me on the weekends. They take over the X-Box, computer and Tv. I just hide in my room with a book or two. Most of my friends are busy on weekends and more so lately. So I just read.

Well, a few years ago I did embark upon a PhD, although things didn't go too well. First of all I became ill with "chronic fatigue syndrome", which I am still affected with now. Then during the years I was off sick, my department decided to close down (phased over three years). So as a way to get myself back into things, and make the most of my department while it was there, I asked if I could re-register, but downgrade to an MSc.

They said yes, so I've been working from home, reading papers, which are a little above my head, and without the aid of a supervisor (because there's no one left who works in my area of interest!) !

I've also taught special relativity to 14 year olds, and they understood it

As for pocket protectors - nearest I got was a novelty minature backpack to hold my keys in so they didn't cut through

How well am I selling myself so far ?

I've never worn them, but I do have a thing of pocket protectors in my room. I have no idea why I have them though.

What do you think is wrong with it? Our printer was busted once, had a child's toy blocking the ink cartridge.
