I could never blame the cream pie. It is the one thing in my life that never lets me down.

The past year has been a mix of crummy and awesome, but I'm more concerned with the actual day. Every year I get my hopes up, and every year something terrible happens to me. Two years ago my girlfriend broke up with me, and last year she showed up to a party for a bunch of us celebrating birthdays with her new bf, after telling me all summer she wanted to get back together and still loved me. Fortunately I've kept a low profile this year, so nothing bad could possible happen to me. And even if it did it couldn't be as bad as last year.
