Neighbours.

I know for a fact you only live in igloos 10 months of the year.
Best 10 months of my life. You've never banged a chick until you've banged a chick in an igloo.

I went on holiday to portugal once, was taking a horse riding trip around all the battle sites from the peninsular war. Anyway, running simultaneous to that was a coach load of OAP canadian women doing the same thing but via coach.

Every single day for 2 weeks I'd ride up to the site and find them all there, talking about how Wellesley had won this battle or that battle. They always fed the horse little treats when I wasn't looking and shared their food/drink (which somehow was far superior to whatever I had).

That set me in the mind that canadians are probably lovely people, even if they do talk with slightly funny accents eh? ;)

It's aboot pride! It's aboot respect!

I've been to Canada once I really enjoyed it there. The Canadians seem to be more intellegent and more friendlier than us USA people (I'm origionaly from New Jersey). That's just my opinion though.

The only thing that I don't like about Canada (Okay, maybe not the only thing, but the main thing) is that it's legal tokill seals and in a very mean way, but I know that the assholes who do that is minority.

I thought about moving to Canada before I met my husband. When my husband and I planned to get married I had no doubt I wanted to move here to Holland. I was tired fo the USA. The only thing I don't like is that I'm so far away from my family.

I lived in Red Deer for several years (seasonal) working for the park service. I have no complaints.

Let me guess. You consider yourself liberal politically.
Fucking liberals have destroyed the American school system over the last 30 years then they wonder why Canadians seem more intelligent.
That's rich.

I'm not a fan of the socialized medicine. I have friends there that have a terrible time getting medical care.

During my Navy time, my submarine made a port call in Victoria, BC. Such a beautiful place. This was in '84 and the Chief of the Boat or senior enlisted told us to wear our uniforms. I did. The people were quite friendly and I would love to visit Canada again.

Ah.. medicare... true the waits can be longer, however the services for the most part are free. I had an injury to my eye a few years ago and was treated by the same doctor who treated Bryan Berard (then of the Toronto Maple Leafs). It's my thinking that to get that in the US - I would have had to mortgage my soul.

I like Americans by the way.. just not the one in charge :)

I like Americans, except a few that are in charge... but sometimes I hate the ones who are in charge here too!

I am Canadian ;)
So let's face it.....they have more sunny days than we can ever imagine to see lol
I find them as equals to us,
In the end we are all souls & spirits
Just living in diiferent parts of the world.
They are my brothers & Sisters.
As for accents, when I talk to them
we always jibber back and forth..
"What Accent"? lol

LOL...uh huh... the one you have when you say "aboat" instead of about. :D ;) I also love hearing accents (while I dont have one myself ;) ) But there's something about those Canadian girls that just mess me up.

I love Canada!
*Native NY'er here, we share a border you know!*

My brother moved to Kamloops a few years back.. went to visit him and God, it was a blast. People are crazy nice, they serve french fries with goat cheese and gravy!, I felt rich after converting my money.

Plus for some reason, having a Brooklyn-ish accent really made me an oddity and was quite popular with the fair females.

One pet peeve: They show frigging dead fetusus on their cigarette packs.

I've seen the light and I'm moving to The Great White North!

Canadians are cool. I have quite a few friends north of the border and they are all cool, regular guys. Plus I hear the Canadian landscape is beautiful year round, so I think I could stand a road trip or two through there, eh?

Now you've got me saying "about" over and over again to see if I really do say it "aboat". I'm pretty sure that I say "about" though.

I have recently talked to somebody from the States though and he told me he could really hear my accent. Funny, I didn't think I had one (I could sure hear his though ;) )

:)
