"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR SARAH
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

The room erupted in applause, as Sarah Richardson blew out the eighteen candles atop her birthday cake. Greg was there, as always, with the Richardson family, to celebrate her milestone, along with other neighbors. He had watched Sarah grow into a striking young woman. In fact, it wasn't until that precise moment, when he saw her moist lips blow on the candles, her slender frame perched over the tall cake, her soft face aglow for a brief moment, that Greg saw Sarah with desire. It hit him for a brief moment, and then he was back to mingling with the neighborhood, passing cake and silverware. His brain told him those fleeting thoughts could never amount to anything, besides. Nearly twenty years her senior, surely she wouldn't go for a man like him, and Greg dreaded to think what it might mean for his relationship with her parents, whom he'd known since moving in, five years ago. Still, even as he lay in bed that night, he couldn't get her warm smile out of his head.

Sara had a great day and was happy to see so many people come out to the party. She had an awesome time giggling with her friends and flirty with the boys that were there. She noticed how Greg watched her and she smiled sweetly to him. She always found him attractive but she had a feeling nothing would happen since he was old enough to be her father and her parents would have a fit.

She spent the rest of the night sorting out her presents and started writing out the thank cards to everyone. Seeing how it wasn't late she decided to take Greg's over to him and thank him personally for his gift.

Telling her parents what she was up to they smiled and nodded to letting her go off to do what she wanted. Once she got to his door she rang the door bell and stood there in her jogging pants, tshirt and tennis shoes with her blonde hair pulled up in a pony tail.

Greg was alarmed by the sound of the doorbell, and even more surprised to see Sara at the door, when he opened it in his pajamas. "Sara! Wow, didn't expect to see you here... What's up? Oh, come on in, you must be freezing out there..."

She smiled when he opened the door and seen he was in his pajamas. She didn't think it was really late but might have been later than she thought. Her cheeks reddened and she came in when he invited her in.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to bug you or anything. I ummm just wanted to say thank you for coming to the party and the present. It meant a lot to me."

She smiled and stood there trying not to bounce around to much but it was cold and she did't think to grab her jacket before she came over.

Greg smiled broadly. "Oh, don't mention it!" He looked down, toward her feet, a little nervous, "y'know, it's hard to believe how much you've grown over these years." His eyes raised, trying not to oogle her body too obviously, trying to get those thoughts out of his head. He looked her in the eye, "I'm really proud of the woman you've become," he smiled.

She smiled and blushed as he paid her that compliment.

"Thank you. It means a lot to me that you think that."

She moved over and stood up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek softly. She didn't think much about it but blushed even more for the thoughts running through her head at the moment.

He noticed her blush, and wondered for a brief moment what was going through her mind. He knew full well the thoughts running through his own mind. "Now, I think you'd better get back to bed.. eh, home... don't you? School night and all..." he smiled and winked, emphasizing his joke, but realizing that the wink could be taken as flirty as well.

She laughed a little and shook her head at him. Staring up at him she put her hands on her hips.

"I'll leave you to get back to bed but ummm it's not a school night. Friday remember silly man."

She giggled and kissed his cheek again and gave him a hug and felt a butterflies in her belly as she whispered to him.

"Thanks again for the necklace it's beautiful."

She smiled as she stepped back and headed for the door.

Greg looked down at the necklace he had given Sara, as she gave him another hug, and then placed another sweet kiss on his cheek. The view of her cleavage was just too much, and Greg was relieved as she pulled away that she couldn't feel the erection stirring in his pants. She turned at just the right moment to avoid seeing his hard-on pressing gently against his thin pajama pants. As soon as the door clicked closed, Greg trotted upstairs, to 'take care of' his cock.

He imagined Sarah's soft lips around him, her gentle eyes looking up into his. Her gentle moans providing vibration against his throbbing cock. It wasn't long before he came, with a long groan. Catching his breath, he cleaned himself up, then fell back, into his soft sheets. It was an incredible thought, but for now, it would have to remain in his head.

Sara nearly skipped on back to her house and was full of smiles. Her mom and dad had gone to bed so she was left to her own thoughts. She felt the butterflies and tingles in her that she hadn't felt since the first time she had sex with her now ex boyfriend.

She wondered if he had noticed any odd feelings between them or if he just saw her as the same little girl he met 5 years before when he moved in to the house next door. A frown crossed her lips as thoughts came in that she was just having a stupid crush but she couldn't help it.

She laid on her bed and let her thoughts run away with her. She turned on the tv to watch a movie to try and get her mind off the gorgeous older man next door but it didn't help.

The next afternoon, Greg made his way to the neighborhood park, to let his dog, Mica, stretch her legs. Smiling, he sat on a nearby bench, sighed, and closed his eyes. It was tough watching his ex girlfriend walk away from him, leaving him a single, middle-aged man, but life did have its pleasant moments. In between throws of the tennis ball he'd brought, he soaked up the sun, letting it fall on his strong, outstretched arms and legs.

Sara was out at the park with some friends taking some pictures of things for their photography class. It was in one of the pictures she spotted him and Mica. A smile crossing her lips she got an idea and sat down on the ground knowing he probably couldn't see her so she zoomed in and started snapping some photos of him and the dog. She even did a few of him alone and some of just Mica.

She had every intention of showing them off to him once she printed them out. She took about 30 pictures of them before her friends said they needed to go and since she didn't drive she didn't have a choice but to leave.

Once she got home she put the SD card into her laptop and started flipping through the photos. She printed most of them only about 5 of them came out blurry. She put them together and looked out the window to see if he was back yet. She was using any excuse she could to see him again.

Greg waved and smiled as he passed in front of Sara's house, seeing her stare out the window. He wondered what she might be pondering, with that anxious look on her face. His thoughts turned again to her- her glowing, happy face on her birthday, her blushing cheeks as she thanked him for the present he'd given her...

He crossed the threshold into his house, trying to concentrate on the next thing he needed to do... dishes. There were dishes to do. And he needed to clean the bathroom. And the backyard... and... he couldn't concentrate on any of it. Sara was hopelessly on his mind. Sighing, he let himself sink into the couch, letting the thoughts come.

Sara had been staring out the window for a while waiting for him to come home. When she seen him wave to her she smiled brightly and instantly got butterflies in her belly. She had been sitting there thinking what it would be like to be with him in his bed and spending time with him.

Her thoughts were also on the dreams she has been having lately. In her most recent dream that was so very vivid it felt as if it really happened was of her going over to get something for her mom and it turned into him inviting her to dinner and a movie at his house. It all seems so simple and fun at first until he started to kiss her lips and then took her to his bed. It was just after that she woke up and wasn't able to finish the wonderful dream.

Giving him some time to get settled she grabbed the photos and bounced down the stairs and went over to his house. She was still dressed in her jeans, red sweater and sneakers. Making it to his house in no time at all she knocked on his door trying her best not to knock on it too rapidly she didn't want him to think something was wrong.

Greg smiled brightly, as he opened the door. Sarah looked so cute, in her fuzzy red sweater, her breasts gently curving the wool in just the right way. "C'mon in," he said warmly, "It's... really great to see you again. What do you have there?" He motioned toward the pictures in her hand.

She smiled up to him and moved inside the house when he invited her.

"Just something I wanted to show you. I saw you and Mica out at the park today. I hoped you wouldn't mind I took some pictures. Thought you might like to see them."

She was an impressive photographer even at her age and has been for a while now. She even got a part time job at the local newspaper taking photos and she worked often at weddings, parties and other events. She waited patiently for him to look at them and hoped he liked them as much as she did.

He eyed her with slightly mocking suspicion. "You took these of me? Without my knowledge? You could get in trouble for that, young lady," he smiled, shuffling slowly through the photos. They were truly impressive. "Sara, these are great!" he beemed, touching her hand, looking into her bright eyes.

She bit her lip and nodded with a sigh.

"I know and I'm sorry I was hoping you wouldn't mind and sometimes the best pictures are those that people don't know about you."

She smiled brightly as he told her how great her work was and even more when he touched her hand.

"Thanks been taking pictures since I was 12 so better be good at them. I'm really glad you like them. You can keep them I printed them out for you."

She looked up at him and stared into his eyes with a smile that would probably give him the idea that she liked him a lot more than just a neighbor liking a neighbor.

"Aw, thanks! I'd love to keep them." He hugged her, keeping his hands at her sides as he pulled away. He saw the look in her eyes. He knew what that meant. The thoughts that kept his urges in check were melting away, so close to disappearing completely. He stared into her eyes, then down at those moist lips. Then back up to those bright eyes.

She hugged him close and smiled up at him. Staring up into his eyes and how close he was to her she abandoned all reason. What she did next was likely to shock the both because she was thinking it in her head and it just happened.

She stood up on her tip toes and kissed his lips not caring what anyone else thought about it. Well except him of course. She pulled back shocked and bit her lip shyly.

"I'm sorry I....I shouldn't have done that."

His arms melted around her when she kissed him, but dropped when she pulled away. "No, it's... I..." he was at a loss for words. "You're right, we shouldn't do this." His eyes cast downward, "I'm sorry."

It felt good to kiss him and have his arms around her. She couldn't help but stare up at him her eyes hopeful that he wasn't angry with her or anything like that.

"I guess I got carried away with the idea you might.......well..."

She shook her head and sighed a little at herself not able to finish that thought.

He smiled, touching her hand again. "Sara, you're a woman now, and it's natural for grown-ups to have these thoughts and feelings. But... it would just be too complicated."

She smiled softly as he touched her hand and she started tracing on his rather playfully.

"I know...I just...I like being around you. I don't know how to explain it."

She sighed because she knew deep down her parents wouldn't understand and they would flip out on him.

"And you've always had a special place in my life- you know that, Sara." he sighed, hugging her again. "It's just... we can't let anyone know how we feel... they wouldn't approve..."
