Too many of you have got too much of an opinion of yourselves. Your sense of self-importance is going to get you when you get out into the real world. Out there nobody is going to give a shit about what you have to say, your gonna be a nobody. College does this to people.

I liked your posts and I'm sorry that you're leaving.

My thoughts to you in an email. (One list I'm glad I was on.) In summary though, I'd like to think this is a result of all the medications, etc. in your real life at the moment. We've been a good support group for you these past couple months and I'd hate for you to lose contact with the outside world now. Yes, the web is big. But we know you here. And you know us. Have you been to that doctor yet for the testing you need to have? Did you mention Lit to him/her? What do they think?

Before anyone gets the chance to post the standard "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!" I wanted to say why I think you deserve to be cut some slack. You're literally sick. Maybe being here doesn't help you afterall, but I'd like to think that it does. Once you take a break, or think about it more, I hope you come back to post again another day.

I'm sorry your Lit angst got to the point where this happened. I know well how distraught one can become by emotions too entwined with Board events and know, too, how beneficial time away can be in order to regain some perspective.

This is a polyglot place, not homogenized and purified and inhabitied only by those with any similarities beyond an interest in sex and sexuality. There are no police here, keeping us in order. There are no rules on the door as one walks in. Some of us will irritate others of us. The trick is to manage the flow so that the irritations don't outweigh the pleasures. If one cannot do that, then it's time for a step back.

Ah! But the GB is a universe unto itself, darlin'. There are many here who never venture out of the GB and into any of the other forums. To them, for all intents and purposes, Nessus is most definitely gone.
