Piano Jazz, Oscar Peterson and Cedar Walton

Jon Faddis, Noel Pointer and Jean Luc Ponty

Also progressive jazz like Oregon and Pat Metheny


Seeking suggestions in those veins, particularly progressive and Stan Kenton who I'm not really sure how to categorize.

Reading through the list of Jazz Fusion artists:

It's amazing how many are connected to each other.

Frank Zappa is connected to Jan Hammer through Jean Luc Ponty and George Duke for example, which also ties to Carlos Santana, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and a few others.
