I've pretty much just got back from the Hospital. He's in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator with a DNR in place. He's pretty much left us, we're just waiting for the Irish contingent to get here and say goodbye.

I'm almost... numb. None of it seems real.

The Irish wake is appropriate: get drunk to celebrate a life worth celebrating. He'll suffer no more. Make it as easy as possible for yourself.
