Here is the problem, it starts out fine like what i am doing now typing this out, and after i am done i go to submit it and it will do nothing.

I have to hit submit several times before it will go on to the next part of it, to the thread and it will do this all the time, even when i am just looking thru the threads.

I will hit the thread title i want to look at and i have to click on it several times before it will open. But sometimes it will do it the first time. It is a real pain in the butt.

I hope someone can help me, and i will check back later, so i want to thank you for the help. Have a great day.

OK, first question: are you using broadband or dial-up? in the latter case that might explain everything. in the former case, see 2, below.

second, now & again, lit does get slow, and there's really not much that can be done about that. what time of day does this normally happen for you? i've experienced certain latency like you describe at around this exact time of day, and again around 12 hours or so from now.

Is it just Literotica where you have this problem, or does it happen with other sites too?

Do you have problems with clicking on anything other than hyperlinks -- i.e. when playing solitaire or minesweeper?

If the problem is limited to Literotica, then it's probably related to server loading at high-traffic times and there is not much you can do about it except visit at less popular times.

If the problem is limited to hyperlinks anywhere on the web, it might be a problem with your ISP or your browser -- clearing your browser cache/temporary internet files might help or you might need to get with your ISP's technical support people to find out if they're having problems.

If the problem is happening with anything you click on then look at your mouse -- especially if it has a cord and is over two years old.

Weird Harold~ I want to link my new computer with my old one to get all my pictures, music and documents off my old one. I did it a year ago with my laptop but for the life of me I don't remember how to do it now. My new one is running XP and my old one is 98 second edition if that matters.

I was told you were the smartest man on lit and if you didn't know it couldn't be done. ;)

Not True! There are several people whoare older than I am at Lit -- some older by a decade or two.

How you transfer files from an old computer to a new one depends a lot on the hardware you have installed. If both computers have a network card you just need a router or "crossover cable" to set-up a temporary network.

You can also set-up a USB Network if both computers have USB ports. With the right cables you can also network through the serial ports or bi-directional printer ports.

Using the built-in networking capabilities is the simplest way to transfer files between two computers, but a simple null-modem connection between two modems or serial ports and the "direct cable connection" or a terminal program will work, too.

If you have a broadband connection with a router, just hook up both computers to the router and enable file sharing on the old computer.

I have am set up on the old computer and my laptop to share files, I just can't remember what I clicked to enable the file sharing on this one.

I have the little hand on my other one but how do I get it on this new one. I'm still trying to get use to XP.

Thats what the Help menu is for. :p I don't have a copy of XP to consult but I think you can right-click and individual folders and set the file-sharing in the Properties menu with XP.

Sorry everybody i had some problems and could not get back, but it happens everywhere i go, and i use dial-up and it never did this before and i just had to use a new hard-drive since my other one just went tits up.

But this problem happens at every site i go to.

Then try a new mouse. If you get one locally, at Walmart or similar, try it out, and find it doesn't help, just return it and get your money back (though you should be able to get a mouse for under $10, and if yours is old, it probably should be replaced anyway). :)

It also could be that your PC is infected with tons of adware/spyware. Do you have anti-virus running? Do you have an anti-adware program?

I have both virus and spyware on my computer and i check it all the time, and maybe if i reload the OS of the mouse it is one of those optic mouse's.

Well lets see how it works now i just reinstalled the OS for my mouse. I will know anytime now if it is going to be ok. Thanks for all the help.
