Need some advice regarding GTA5 online

I just started playing a few days ago. I noticed some players are transparent and I can't do any damage to them. But they can kill me off quickly.

I also find it disturbing that there are 120 levels to attain, which means someone just starting out is red meat to experienced players. I can't even hide from them because I show up on their radar. I just have a pistol, and they run around with rocket launchers, tanks and armored cars.

The transparent players are in Passive Mode, which you can toggle on and off. When in passive mode you can't kill or be killed by other players.

Solo or closed friend/crew session is the only way to go IMO. It's a bit wonky to set up on PC but it's there.

It's not so bad if you keep passive mode on while out farming for cash or completing jobs. Just turn off passive when you WANT to play some player vs. player in the open world.

Just do heists it makes u level up quicker. Some people started from the prior gta's. So their rank stays the same.

So what is the deal with the police? If you battle them, do you get experience points? I only found I got points for hiding from them, not much fun.

Do heists, it's the best way to level up. I'm about to play in a few. If you got a Xbox1, I can help you out.

i call them twats

just host your own private sessions with friends

you can do whatever you want and not worry about the trolls

do jobs, races, rob stores, steal cars, heck go ride the roller coaster.. lots to do is LS

passive mode is under options I believe....you can turn it off too..perks to passive, you cant be shot... but you can be run over, blown up and shot if you're in a car...passive only really helps on foot

you can only start a private session from the main game
