how would you feel and what would you do if someone you loved and cared about very very much was FLYING out to new york as soon as possible (possibley tonight) for work reasons from the uk


does anyone know the status of international flights into america are they being allowed yet also what are the phones like there now


sigh you can probably guess why im posting this thread but if not its because lisa might be flying out to new york i cant go with her unless i quit my job which i'd do but lisa wouldnt let me do that ... i dont know if im over reacting or if i have good reason to be freaking thankyou in advance to anyone that replys

What I have been hearing since last night, is that air traffic in the states will be re-opening today at noon. I have no idea if that includes international flights yet, or not.

I am not sure I would want to fly into NYC at this time, but at the same time, I feel that if we are going to be attacked again, they will pick a new place. The did as much damage in one fell swoop as they could yesterday. If they are planning another attack, it seems to me, they would want to consentrate on an area not so well guarded right now.

NYC might be one of most heavily thought of spots, but right now, it is also one of the most heavily guarded, as well.

Flights at the three NYC-area airports WILL NOT resume at 12:00 today. It was just announced.

thankyou to you all and your probably right i doubt she'll be going today (i hope) ... shes phoning around alot of places at moment finding out whats happening


because of al that happened lisa's dad is meant to be trying to fly from toronto to new york today and she was going to do work there with him ... her dad knew some friends that were in TWC so he is quite angry/upset so she isnt argueing with him or anything shes just going to go out there as soon as she can because her dad asked her too ... weather it be possible for her to do the work out there or not i dont know


she doesnt know anything though other then flights in america are meant to be opening at noon not sure if that includes flights from canada or flights from uk or whatever


she said to me something like what your saying gilly that new york is probably the most secure city in world right now and that flight security will be really tight and good when flights start today ... its still very scary though

One airports re-open security is going to be very different, I think...

And NYC... will be different - and, I believe more security conscious...

We have been planning a weekend trip to NYC - christmas time - I know its still a while away - but we're still planning on going. The city will be different - I grew up there, before the WTC were built... and after... it will be strange... but it feels right to go there for the trip...

BK Is flying up here for my Birthday. Which is exactly one month from Yesterday. (That is, if Air Traffic is moving smoothly and he is able.)

I will be scared to death, but I want him HERE...
