A good friend wants me to fulfill her fantasy of Hot Wax dripped on her. I need to find which wax to buy and any comments anyone has. Anyone in Tx into this? Dumb question I know!! I live in SA, but travel to Houston and Dallas for business.

I suggest you buy candles specifically for wax play- they have a lower melting temp and thus don't burn the skin nearly as bad a regular wax. Enjoy! It's great fun ;)

Buy cheap ones. And have the one doing the dripping to test it on his or her own skin. White unscented are the safest.

Why this forum? How to, or bdsm might be a better fit.

Drip from two or three feet above the skin; the wax cools somewhat on the way down. You can adjust the temperature by adjusting the fall distance. Keep in mind that a thick coat of wax acts as insulation, so as it builds up hotter wax can be tolerated -- but then moving to a new, bare spot means moving higher again to avoid blisters!

more wax tips

if your doing wax play baby oil and hair removal are important as it can be tough to get the wax loose from the skin and it makes the skin more sensitive.

they sell the parifin "Religious" candles in a lot of places. they can actually be melted in a pan of hot watter instead of being lit but either way will work. The darker the color the hotter it will feel on ths skin and the more heat it will retain over time. Do not use bee's wax as it burns a lot hotter and can blister the skin .. also dtry not to use purfumed or sented candles as they burn hotter and longer as well due to the alachol in the scent.

hope any of this helps ya out

Tass

Actually, the cheap, emergency candles are a bad choice. They are made to burn longer than regular candles, thus build up more heat in the wax...thus the possibility of burning your "toy" is easier done...and if you break your "toy", you can't play with it any longer

I've found that parafin wax sold in most beauty supply store works really well - if you want colors, just drop in any kid's crayon and you have instant color...or buy the religious candles you can find on any Mexican food isle in your local grocery store. *they are also extremely easy to rewick, thus a good value ;) *
