*To edit an entire book of stories
*And you need it back within 24 hours

A professional editor, one who works quickly and efficiently, would need at least a week to complete this job. And they'd ask for a rush fee if you wanted it back any sooner than a week.

But like I said, I'm new around here. Maybe this forum is full of people who want to edit a book, for free, in 24 hours. Good luck.

A professional editor, one who works quickly and efficiently, would need about 30 billable hours to complete this job. And they'd ask for a rush fee if you wanted it back any sooner than a week. I understand that you think your stories don't need much editing, but your question is so full of edit-worthy errors that it's hard to take your word for it.

But like I said, I'm new around here. Maybe I'm completely off base. Maybe this forum is full of people who want to edit a book, for free, in 24 hours. Good luck.

You aren't off base. In addition, asking for a VE from Lit to help with something to publish for money isn't what this forum is for.
