Ok, here's the deal, I'm taking care of some emailing for my boss and he used a word that I cannot figure out how to spell. The online dictionary that I have says it's not a word, or it's not spelled correctly (well duh!) and spell check doesn't give me any options other than to delete it.
So, who has a dictionary and can look up this word for me? I'd appreciate any and all help with this.

oh shit, sorry it's been a really bad day!

It's intrangeance or something like it. I've tried different variations, but both of our spelling really sucks.

Can you put it in the sentence, please? I'm having a hard time figuring out what the word is.

If you mean intransigence?

it means someone stubborn or adamant or even pig-headed

Could this be it?

in·tran·si·gent also in·tran·si·geant Pronunciation Key (n-trns-jnt, -z-)
adj.
Refusing to moderate a position, especially an extreme position; uncompromising.

The sentence is;

Given the senate's intrangeance in approving (or even considering) our president's appointments of good men blah blah blah.

That sounds about right!

Thanks so much!

"refusing to alter an idea or a position in response to others' wishes; uncompromising."

In this case, it refers to the senate's adamant refusal to accept the President's nominations

In "this" beach boy's opinion, of course
