I hope I'm posting in the right place, I'm fairly new around here so I apologise if I got it wrong.
I'm writing a story as a birthday present for an online friend of mine. He's male, I'm female, and the subject isn't really my cup of tea. I basically have no idea whether what I've written would flick any switches. The subject category is non-human (a cat-woman, to be specific).
I've read some similar stories, looking at the general verbs, adjectives and 'actions'. I also have some idea of what he likes or I'd never have started this in the first place. What I really need is somebody who is more "into" the subject matter and can let me know if I'm writing in the right direction.
How can I find an editor who could check out this specific type of content as well as the punctuation, style etc.? I did try selecting "non-human" from the subs dropdown (300-odd results returned), but from scanning the list I didn't really see anybody who would do this. NonHuman seems to be one that people don't mind subbing even if it's not their thing.
Can somebody help me out?
