Need help finding a story

Don't know if this is the right place, but I was wondering if anyone know about a story like this. I read it in the past and would like to read it again, but I can't seem to find it.

It was about a girl which were the daughter of a nobleman with land and a man who were unwillingly engaged to the girl (Raven?) after she had been violated by a stranger (the man in the neighbour keep, I think?).

In the first chapter I think she let the bird (eagle?) which the man have spent all his money on for a competition out into the nature, the man the punish the girl with a spanking/paddling?.

Oh, and it is set in the medieval time period I think.
