Here's the sitch.

I'm writing a story where a dom wraps his sub in roses.

So does anyone know of a clear tape that can be used for this purpose? I need something that will hold to the skin even if it gets really sweaty (and she will get really sweaty) but won't show against her skin or the roses. I don't want to ruin the esthetic. ;)

Thanks in advance.

It would be seen, but I would just use twine.

But I'm not a dom either

Surgical tape. I don't know the brand name, but it's clear (I think it's some polyvinyl) and it sticks on sweaty skin.

Or else make something up. Call it clear surgical tape. Who'll know?

What about the thorns? A little blood sport?

Having so recently test-driven several surgical tapes :D

There is a crystal- clear and very sticky tape that held my IV in place for three days and would have lasted weeks, I bet. BUT! It makes ugly wrinkles out of the skin underneath. Any tape is going to do that, it just won't be as flexible as skin.

The regular tape was kinda opalescently clear, and looked better, IMO.

Thanks all. :)

I was thinking of surgical tape but couldn't recall if it was clear or not. I really do want it to be as close to invisible as possible. The esthetic is really important to me. I want the sub to look like dryad, a sexual avatar of nature when I'm done.

No blood play, Doc. Just tight enough that she'll be wrapped in pinpricks. And then he uses some other roses to pet with using the blooms and lightly lash with the thorns.

Stella? I don't think I'll need to worry about wrinkling the skin. It'll only be on for an hour or so.

A bit late, but we have Scotch tape here in Oz. It is clear, slightly opaque. It might lose a bit of stick with sweat, but it holds fast and would be unwrippable (sorry if that is not a word), but it wouldn't leave red marks or be overly painful to remove. edited to add: it is about a thumbnail in width.

yum, I like this scenario :cattail:

But what I meant was that the skin cannot flex under this tape, and it looks wrinkled-- instantly. Crumpled. Let him use the tape with skill and grace, so that the strips are hidden under the lush green leaves and riotous exuberance of the blossoms... Any florist would tell you the same ;)

Damn, Rob, that sounds hot...

You know, you could also use spirit gum, the kind of thing they use in stage make-up to hold mustaches and warts and things on. Dab it on the roses and they'd stick on her skin.

And then, I hate to be morbid, but there's this stuff called "embalmer's wax" you can get at hobby shops and theatrical make-up supply outfits. It's a mixture of beeswax and some other waxes and is very tacky and clear-gray and made to hold to skin (I hate to think what embalmers use it for). I've used it to stick a bunch of flashing LED's to a kid for Halloween and it worked great. You take a little dab and fix it to the rose and stick it to the skin and it doesn't let go.

That's probably what I'd use because then you don't have to worry about tape binding and tearing as she moves. And it comes off clean.

On second thought, thinking about the mechanics of using it in a story, embalmer's wax would be too morbid-sounding and too hard to explain. I'd say he just fixed roses to her with clear tape or spirit gum and leave it at that. This isn't a how-to manual.
