I inherited this plant from a previous employer who retired last year. He has no idea what it is. He said his secretary from ten years ago gave it to him when it was only about 2 inches high and it had the oddly spiral leaves then as well. It bloomed once, several years ago, and he said the blossom was "very, very odd," but that was all that he could tell me about it. It is now just under three feet tall, with a woody stem. It appears to have the ability to grow into a tree. I've been thinking it might be in the ficus family, but I've been unable to find anything that even remotely compares to it. Anyone have any ideas?
