Hello, I want a picture for my profile but can't seem to balance the pixels and the bytes

I certainly would have helped Velvet, but our Qman is far more qualified and does a great job so in that respect I'm glad he was at the ready.

It looks like I need some help. Has anyone with Webtv, or MsnTV2 been able to post an AV? I did a search, but the only person who seemed to make it work hasn't posted since Jan.

I've got a friend to re-size a photo, but I just cannot get it to load on the proper AV page. I know the URL is good, because my friend replaced it on her AV for a moment. I can also put the URL in an e-mail, and the AV photo cums up. I just can't get Lit to accept the URL. I get a message like "that JPG is not found", or something like that.

Anyone else out there using the WebTV toy, from Microsoft? Thanks in advance

I can take that url and post the AV as an image here, using the IMG tags on a thread and did that.

So, if that works, why won't the url address work as when setting up an AV?

If the picture is on your computer HD, it needs to be put up as an attachment. The AV has one from the server I copied it to. It sees it when I put it on a thread as an . It doesn't see what it wants when it is to be an AV.

Please could you resize this for me? I either have too many pixels or too many bytes and I'm about to ceremoniously burn my computer. I'd really appreciate the help.

if ur using windows xp, there are plugins (u can find them on ms website) called power toys. in the new one there is a plug it that only requires a right click and resize option pops up (defaults to the size for lit). easy to install and i use it all the time.

could i get help getting this resized for profile size? thanx in advance ...

i have tried doing this, saved pix to the appropriate '150 x 150' size and seen it say that it is saved at 25.97k ... but when i go to upload it, i get the msg that says that it is larger than the allowed 30000b ... i don't get it?

and now that i tried to upload for resizing here, i got this msg:

FF - 03av (Small).jpg:
File Too Large. Limits are 800 x 600. Your file is 640 x 634.

any ideas?

okay, here we go ... & i think that part of the problem is that photoshop says one size and lit reads another ... 'cos this one says 98.6 kb on lit but reads as 90.56 kb on photoshop ... hmm ... gonna have to get ready for the adjustments, is that it?
