Use this one, I didnt make it small enough.

You need 100 posts to put it up. A space will show up when you reach 100.

Duh, I could have said it better. Stupid headache.

When you reach 100, go to the edit options page in your user cp. Scroll down where it says avatars and click update avatar. Thats how ya do it.

I don't think there is anything that's "unacceptable" although there are certainly some "tasteless" and "generic" avatars some people are using.

This one is erotic and will get you lots of propositions, but it is also very similar to a couple of other avatars -- but yes, it's "acceptable."

You can post a picture that's on the web using the IMG tags or attach it using the "attach file" section of the reply or new thread page. Don't preview a post you're attaching something to, because previewing erases the info from the input box.

www.irfanview.com is where you'll find the best free image management program I've found. Download and install it, and it makes resizing as simple as:

Open an image
Choose Image/Resize from the pull down menus
type in the new size for the largest dimension
hit enter
save the resized image (use "Save As" to change the image format if necessary.)

One tip for choosing an image: choose an image that is 150 pixels or larger to resize. Enlarging images on the scale of an avatar just doesn't work well -- there just isn't enough detail in an image that's smaller than 150x150 pixels to interpolate into a good enlargement.

Reducing an image from almost any size will almost always produce a better avatar than enlarging a thumbnail
