My daughter is getting married this summer. She wants me to pick the song for the father/daughter dance at the reception. Butterfly kisses is definitely not an option. But I'm really stumped on trying to come up with something. So, once again I turn to the highly intelligent, well traveled and well rounded people of this board for some suggestions. Can anyone help a fella out with this one?

"Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. I could send you an MP3 of it if you want.

Jen: Yes, it's supposed to be a slow dance.

Zeb: I actually considered that song, but if you listen to the words, it's a man singing to his wife. I know this is Ky and all, but a love song about your wife prolly ain't appropriate for your daughter. :D

But you can dance to it! :D

Violent Femmes - Country Death Song?
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give it away now?

I'm joking with these two - not appropriate. How's about "Have I told you lately" by Van Morrison. Who drove the red sports car by Van Morrison - is probably the best lyrics wise, but difficult to dance to unless you are just going to do the side to side thing and also you want to get the DJ to fade out that whole thing about that whole bag thing....what's that about anyway. Never mind- you may want to remove this one from the list - could mean a sleeping bag - could be a bag of pot. My Funny Valentine or My Girl by Frank Sinatra comes to mind, you can really dance to Frank. Isn't she lovely, Stevie Wonder. Try a little tenderness by Otis Redding.

Congrats!
