What's your favorite species of wood for carving? You got any pics of your carvings?

Cedar and pecan? Haven't worked much with either of these. Walnut dust is slightly irritating to me, but I still like the stuff. Maple is good. I like it's durability.

We have some beautiful bristlecone pines that grow above near timberline in the mountains here in my state, that make wonderful carvings.
